My view...
I say this in every sport, every year: a given team's win/loss record can often be deceptive, particularly when making comparisons. WE HAVE TO LOOK CLOSELY AT WHO THEY PLAYED TO ACHIEVE THAT RECORD (and/or associated stats)
After doing so, this is a roughly even matchup on a neutral field.
Only significant IMPACT player missing will be WVA linebacker Trotter. #2 WR Ray is also out but NOT a big loss on a running team and they've had 2 games to adapt to his absence.
All the other "transfers" we've read about are NON-impact backups.

So....despite playing without their BEST defensive player, and their top OT, and their #2 WR, and despite losing their best RB to a hammy, and despite being penalized much more than Memphis, and despite a fortunate turnover that gave Memphis 3 pts, and after an equal # possessions, and despite an UNforced break which cost them a PAT, and despite another very lucky break when Clement drops a wide open TD pass . . .
it's mid 4Q now 42 - 37
but
WVA has 8 more first downs and 65 more net yds.
Memphis might win SU and good for them........ but WVA deserves a cover playing slightly BETTER than Memphis

Cal starting QB and best WR will not play. Uncertain about who the backup QB will be to play as Rogers is highly questionable due to lingering injury. Obviously bad news for the Bears. Ta boot, I had UNLV rated better than CAL to begin with. Of course anything can happen to the best laid plans...fluky breaks, turnovers, untimely BAD penalties, and of course game-altering INJURIES!!... but I'm sticking with the probabilities here.
