Chicks are definately hotter in the South........in Oregon they are typically tree huggers and don't shave their legs or armpits......then again my old girlfriend just lived in Oregon but was from Germany

Yes, the SEC is having a good bowl season, BUT they havent played any Pac-10 teams....  Seems like historically the BCS avoids playing SEC teams against Pac-10 as much as possible, it's so annoying!

Gil...you are the best handicapper by far of the players I didn't know on covers before I started my voting thread.  My apologies for not knowing sooner, and congrats on a great Bowl Run...

I have to agree that tonight, I have to back Cam, and the SEC.  Until someone proves it, I don't buy it...bigger players and more athletic at Auburn.  I do know what they say in Alabama though for tonight and it's  "WAR EAGLE"

Hey Gil,

Been enjoying your analysis of all these bowl games... I like the auburn pick a lot. I'm sure this point has been brought up in other threads, but opposing defenses seem to get "worn down" in the 2nd half trying to keep up with Oregon's up tempo offensive(snapping the ball with 25 seconds on the play clock) ... do you believe this will happen to Auburn's defense?

I'm not worried about the conditioning of Auburns defense and they have been practicing against up tempo situations for 5 weeks. This is why I believe you can prep for speed and uptempo but Oregon can't prep for the size disadvantage they have against Auburn.

Pac-10 homer by chance??? Please don't ever compare the Pac-10 with the SEC ever again...their not afraid to play you, they just know they would dominate...

MY FRIEND AURB PLAYED WAY AND I MEAN WAY BETTER TEAMS THAN ORG DID...BAMA, LSU, SOUTH CAROLINA TWICE, ARK......ORG HAS ONE GOOD WIN THIS YEAR AND THAT WAS AT HOME VS STANFORD...NO OTHER QULITEY WINS THIS YEAR...

Met an Auburn chick when the Badgers played them in the Music City Bowl a few years back, needless to say she spent the night in my hotel room and I still remember it like yesterday...one of my top pulls all time. Never experienced a tree hugger and hopefully never will, hopefully your gf is clean shaven tonight so she can reward you after a Tiger win!

you hit the nail on the head...this game will be won at the line of scrimmage.  auburn's offensive line is the best in the country imo. they are big, athletic, and just nasty.  auburn will control tempo with them and win this game.  bol tonite

Thats why I do my best to keep emotion out of my plays and I'm an Iowa homer, but not a Big 10 homer. The Pac 10 has an inferiority complex.........like I posted there are 7 TEAMS in the Pac 10 that had a stronger strength of schedule than Oregon:

"Auburn had the #2 toughest schedule in the Nation, Oregon was #61 and #8 toughest schedule in their OWN CONFERENCE."

GIL...i was hoping you would say Auburn.  looking through a lot of threads this morning on this site it seems like everyone is on ORE.  in my past experience with covers, usually when that happens it goes the other way...i believe they call it the covers blood bath on this site LOL!!!  i have been following your plays for a while so i was waiting to see who you were picking.  i am glad it is Auburn, i have been part of the cover blood bath too many times.  this is the first year i have faded when covers is one sided and it has worked every time. anyway, good luck to all, it should be a good game!!!

Oregon won by an average 30 points per game.  The schedule was irrelavent as they trounced every team that played for the most part.

Edge to Oregon.

I'm with you Gilberto...

I'm seeing a lot of great handicappers picking the Ducks in a high scoring game.  I've watched every Oregon game this season, as I am a huge fan.  I wear an autographed Joey Harrington jersey from the 2001 Rose Bowl for every game.  Oregon's biggest weakness will be exposed tonight.. they can't throw on third down.  I'm assuming Auburn can match up well against the run by using their size and plugging up the middle.  This will force a lot of third downs for the ducks and they just won't be able to hit these.  Auburn has had months to prepare for Oregon's speed and I don't foresee the pace being a problem for them.  Largest bet of the season for me on Auburn.. let's hope we're both right.  Also a pretty large parlay with the under.  The late line movement on Oregon is making me like this pick even more.
