Auburn's offensive and defensive lines are much bigger than Oregons, but Oregon will count on team speed to offset the size of Auburn except Auburn matches team speed. Oregon's problem is you can prep for team speed but you can't make your players bigger.
This actually looks to me to be a very large mismatch and watching the line coming down over the past weeks is really intriguing because I see Auburn as a 4pt favorite in this game at a minimum.
Auburn Angles:
#5 rushing in the nation and #4 scoring offense
Cam Newton is #1 in the Nation in Passing Efficency
Auburn is #10 in rushing defense and this is against the SEC, the fast SEC
Nick Fairly is #13 in sacks and as a team they are #20
Nick Fairly is #7 in tackles for a lossAuburn is #22 in tackles for a loss, which will be a huge factor.
Opponents: Alabama, LSU, S.Carolina (2xs), Arkansas, Miss St......BATTLE TESTED.
Oregon Angles:
#1 offense in the nation and #1 scoring team in the Nation.
LaMichale James is #1 in rushing in the nation and #1 in scoring with his 22 tds.
Cliff Harris is #1 in the nation in punt returns
#7 in the nation in tackles for a loss
#18 in sacks
#12 in scoring defense
Opponents: Teams with a winning record, Stanford, Arizona, USC, Washington (If you want to count the bowl win). You do have to cosider these numbers are also against 1-11 New Mexico (72-0), 2-9 Portland St (69-0), 2-10 Wash St and almost lost at Cal.
Bottom Line and Pick:
Auburn is bigger, just as fast, can play uptempo or control the tempo.
Auburn had the #2 toughest schedule in the Nation, Oregon was #61 and #8 toughest schedule in their OWN CONFERENCE.
Auburn Tigers ML -115
Good luck
