Stylistic, how in the world can you say the Big East is a weaker conference than the SEC? If that was anywhere close to true the Big East wouldn't get 8 teams every year in the tourney. The only thing that brings down the conference is the bottom 4 teams but when there are 16 teams in the BIG EAST it's hard not to have some bottom feeders. Truth is the SEC was and is complete garbage this year. Only Vandy was worth of being in the tourney with Tenn and you saw how that went. Tenn has not been impressive at all the past few games. A two point win against a bad South Carolina team in the 2nd round of the SEC tourney the losing and giving up 92 to Arkansas showed me big time weakness. Tenn was only beating American by two with 3+ mins left in the 1st round. YES, AMERICAN!!!! Then getting a few lucky shots against Butler pushed them to the Sweet 16. UL on the other hand has been hot the past 12 games or so. Two very poor shooting games cost them a 3 point loss to Georgetown and an OT loss to eventual Big East tourney Champ Pitt. A deeper bench, better coach, alot better defense, and strongly motivated team clearly shows UL will win tonight.

Now everybody is saying that Louisville is more athletic then Tennessee, and that may be true, but Memphis is more athletic then Louisville and Tennessee won that game. Chris Lofton is fine, and the walking boot is not only a precaution, but I think it takes a bit of the pressure off the Senior because he can always fall back on the injury if he has a back game (he won't though, I wouldn't be suprised if he had his best game of the tourney so far). Finally, everybody is saying the cards press will be 2 much for Tenn. to handle, I highly doubt this...Tennessee has had all week to prepare for the press, and if Prince can't get the job done, I have no doubt Jordan Howell (senior) will.....

Tennessee is 180 opposite of Louisville's hard work ethic and non-stop pressure and drive.
The Vols are a bunch of talented, yet very lazy basketball players. Outrageously lazy. Very similar to Memphis, but Memphis has more talent so they can get away with it....barely. American out-rebounded the Vols to start the game 13-2 on the offensive glass because Tennessee just refuses to go out and do the things a team needs to do. That is drinking arsenic against Louisville.
They are going to meet a steel buzzsaw in this Louisville team and the only reason why the line is L -2 is because of the last two blowout victories by the Cardinals. If this was a Round One game, Tennessee would have been 6 or 7-point favorites, but wrongly so.
Louisville to cover EASILY.

Line went from Louisville -2 to -2.5 and the $$ went up 11% on Tennessee from 19% to 30% since Sunday, the line moving up to favor Louisville more instead of Tennessee. Another thing that is fishy is the ML. Louisville went from -135 (5%) to -145 (50%). Tennessee went from +115 (95%) to +125 (50%). This all tells me that Vegas wants to see a lot of Tennessee action and that Louisville takes Tennessee behind the woodshed. I LOVE Louisville here, even IF everyone on this post likes them. Best play on Thursday, Louisville -2.5.
