said it last week against Butler and i'll say it again....Tennessee is a little overrated...SEC was weak this year...i dont care what anybody says....look at Tennessee's schedule...they played too many close games to mediocre teams....they were gettin dominated on the boards early on against American....and they slipped past a good Butler team....Louisville is playing great and they got a coach with alot of tourney experience.....oh and too make matters worse for Tennessee Chris Lofton their leading scorer is banged up....take Louisville and lay the chalk...and watch the Big East dominant this game!!

Tennessee is 180 opposite of Louisville's hard work ethic and non-stop pressure and drive.
The Vols are a bunch of talented, yet very lazy basketball players. Outrageously lazy. Very similar to Memphis, but Memphis has more talent so they can get away with it....barely. American out-rebounded the Vols to start the game 13-2 on the offensive glass because Tennessee just refuses to go out and do the things a team needs to do. That is drinking arsenic against Louisville.
They are going to meet a steel buzzsaw in this Louisville team and the only reason why the line is L -2 is because of the last two blowout victories by the Cardinals. If this was a Round One game, Tennessee would have been 6 or 7-point favorites, but wrongly so.
Louisville to cover EASILY.

This is a GIFT. Louisville wins by double-digits.

I think this game is a crapshoot, thus i'm not touching it. These are two great teams and i dont think you can say one is better than the other, and with WVA and UCLA on the board (as well as DET at home w/ MIA, ive been savoring this one all week for a 1H play) i dont see any need to flip the coin on this one. The only thing I might do is put a little down on the over, and roll the dice that this one will be a great game that goes to OT.

Tennessee is having a great year for Bruce 'The Snake' Pearl. They run, shoot, and score and are fun to watch. When the threes are dropping they can play with anyone, but when they aren't, look out. They also struggle with defense and are horrible from the free throw line. I think of them as a cross between Memphis and Duke, without the athleticism of Memphis or the defensive instensity of Duke. They haven't looked as good as they did in that Memphis game since, and have been sneaking by some good but not great teams. Meanwhile Lousiville has been playing very well. Terrance Williams has yet to have a big game and the Cards haven't needed it yet. I like Pitino with a week to prepare for the Vol's to find ways to cover the shooters, break the press and make the Vols pay for it. The Cards are a better more balanced team, with a better coach, and better defense. Tennessee is also gimpy with Lofton walking around in a boot all week. I see Louisville up ten in the first half, coasting to a victory. If it is close, Padgett and Williams have plenty in the tank thanks to the blowout victories last week. Cards by 12

Louisville's going to win the Tourney....you heard it here first!!!!
They are the most aggresive team in the Tourney and that full court pressure has teams pissing their pants. Pitino always saves certain "tricks" for the tourney, and we are about to see some more.

I am with you on this one Kong. I have lost big money recently so hopefully helps a little. Really need it like you have no idea. Going to play the spread eventhough I want to just do ML with Louisville but cant afford to risk it with the funds being the way they are right now.

Line went from Louisville -2 to -2.5 and the $$ went up 11% on Tennessee from 19% to 30% since Sunday, the line moving up to favor Louisville more instead of Tennessee. Another thing that is fishy is the ML. Louisville went from -135 (5%) to -145 (50%). Tennessee went from +115 (95%) to +125 (50%). This all tells me that Vegas wants to see a lot of Tennessee action and that Louisville takes Tennessee behind the woodshed. I LOVE Louisville here, even IF everyone on this post likes them. Best play on Thursday, Louisville -2.5.

Loserville (Louisville) for me. Tenn chokes away another high seed in the tournament. Lofton is hurt and has not played well at all in the tournament. With him being hurt, the other guards are really going to struggle with against that classic Pitino full court press. Don't like the -3 so I will take the ML.

Louisville here. Tennessee is overrated and since the beginning of the tourney I said that Louisville is the best team out of the Big East. The best team out of the Big East will be the best of the SEC. Louisville -3

Tennessee 1st half. i don't care how weak the SEC is this year. The Big East is a weaker conference. The Vols are 3-0 as an underdog, and should not be getting points in this game. Tennessee is a faster and stronger team than Louisville.
Some interesting numbers to consider about the hustle points
Louisville 7.7 3 pointers made
Tennessee 8.8 3 pointers made
Louisville 10.4 offensive rebounds
Tennessee 12 offensive rebounds
Louisville 15 assists per game
Tennessee 17 assists per game
Louisville 13 offensive turnovers per game
Tennessee 12.9 offensive turnovers per game
Louisville 8.1 steals per game
Tennessee 6.4 steals per game
Louisville only has one of the hustle points won and only a 4 % difference in defensive field goal %
Tennessee is a notoriously fast starting team. 6th in the nation averaging 39.29 points in the first half compared to Louisville's 33.50. Defensively the Cards let opponents score 27.91, Tennessee 32.26. So that's a 5.79 difference for the Tennessee offensively, and a 4.35 difference in favor of Louisville defensively, which works out to a +1.44 advantage for Tennessee in the 1st half. That combined with the +1.5 my sportsbook is offering means that i have a +2.94 advantage or rounded off to the nearest whole 3 point advantage for Tennessee in the 1st half. No team in the Big East has the firepower that the Vols have on offense, and it will take some time before Louisville figures out how to slow it down at game speed. By then the half will be over.

Going against the grain in this one, Padgett will get in foul trouble guaranteed, thats the game plan against Louisville, get the inside threat on the bench and take it to their guards from there. Sure Louisville owned the Sooners who are a poor offensive team with their top rebounders bruised up, and one happening to be their star player who fouled out. When this Vols team shows up there is hell to pay, but if not then obviously they just gave away their season. They have the offensive presence to take care of any team in the NCAA and they have pretty strong bench players. Not as many bench players as Louisville but i think they can be compared to be strong in their own right. Who walked into Memphis and ended the undefeated team on their own court, as over rated as memphis is, they still got it done on their court id say. And who went and got the only road win given up by Xavier? Louisville is actually a GREAT team, but one game decides their fate of moving on or not, so if the Vols played like they did in the season, and make it their game for the taking then it will be theres, no questions asked. The drive Tennessee has can win the tourney but obviously the question is, will it actually come out? ill take a yes on that one, they sound like the underdog and i think thats where they wanna be, when they were #1, expectation was on their shoulders and couldnt handle it, but as the dog, it brings out more in a team then anything else. Fan of both teams and hoped this game wouldnt come yet because i think they would both have potential to be in the elite 8 for sure, but ill hope the Vols coming into this realize they are the dog and are hungary for the win!
