I don't know how your sportsbook works, but at Pinnacle they have certain games flagged as either a higher maximum bet or a lower max bet. Usually I would think nothing of this, but lately I started sort of paying attention to it, since there has to be some reason why they do this. I have tracked 3 or so games in the last week and the same thing happened each time for the gamers flagged as HIGHER max bets. Heres the games (I can Remember off the top of my head) that I followed with higher maximums.
St. Johns -2? Vs Seton Hall -- St. Johns was a heavy public bet, they lost. Two from last night.
L.A. Lakers -2 vs Miami Heat -- Lakers were heavy public favorite, they lost.
New York Knicks +6 vs. Dallas Mavericks -- NYK was a heavy Public bet, they got killed.
There was a couple more that I can't think of right now. Anyways I'm not saying I am onto to anything yet, but I will be looking to keep following this for the next couple of weeks, and was kind of wondering if anyone else has ever payed attention to this?

Yes, Today Ohio State vs Northwestern was circled. And wouldn't ya know it Northwestern is winning outright with a minute left. Hmmmmmm. It happens in the NBA alot more though.

The georgia game was flagged, but im not sure were the public consensus was at. I'm not ready to jump on this yet, could just be a coincidence, but I will be following it.

Advertisement and look of the site. Everyone knows who bodog is and when you go to their site, it looks fantastic. I agree though, I don't get it either. My primary book is 5dimes, and while it may look boring, I get everything I need.

Very Good point...I know when I was looking for my first book, I was more attracted to the 'nicer' looking sites, but luckily with some research I picked the right one.

guys I may be wrong but I think its because theres alot of action on the game, therefore they can afford to take higher bets on that particular game. Also I think Pinnacle is the best book around.
