$$$$ Play - UC Irvine -3.5 over Cal Poly (Home Team)
UC Irvine has the scoring guard and plenty of smart workable bigs. Their coach is smart and has team ready to play. After smoking UC Santa Barbara on the road, they laid a complete egg at home and got smoked by the same team last time out. This is the "slap" they needed and will be ready and prepared for tonites contest. Take the Anteaters in a runaway!

I like St Bonny today. They have a great backcourt and they've been a hot ATS team playing conference teams, as St Joe has St Bonny beat St Joe in all three games they played last year and should keep this one close. If they hit their free throws they should be fine since they are number two in the nation.

They have a great backcourt and they've been a hot ATS team playing conference teams, as St Joe has St Bonny beat St Joe in all three games they played last year and should keep this one close. OK. Thanks man. Just make sure you point that out the next time you post one. Lots of people in the past have tried the "Oh, I didn't want that play tracked" strategy after their play lost.

GM doesn't have anyone that will explode on a given day, and neither team relies on the three heavily. I capped the total at 138 and I see this as a big play.

Do not want people thinking this is a homer play as I am well aware of how sub-average PSU is this year and watch every game that I can, but I see this going one of 2 ways here tonight:
1) PSU plays this one close the entire way.
2) Iowa jumps out to a bigger lead due to hot outside shooting and then comes back down to earth a bit. Fran in this scenario will also get the bench some play and this is going to be an awfully tough number to cover.
Few things that make me like Penn State to get the cover here:
1) Line opened at 18 / 17.5 depending on where you look and is down to 15.5 in some places (my local still has then at 16 as of time of this posting, but I actually bet them at +16.5 earlier today but just getting around to my write-up now after a busy day at work.
2) Shep Garner had been in a bit of slump but seemed to come out of that in MSG on Saturday in the 2nd half as he got the team back into in against Michigan.
3) Due to impending storms, PSU arrived in Iowa City a day earlier and got some extra practice time in Carver-Hawkeye (more than usual) so maybe that helps them get comfortable.
4) Last time these teams met PSU beat Iowa in the B1G tourney last year and PSU had their upset of the season. The team was pretty similar to last year for Iowa but only loss their best player in Aaron White though they are playing way better this season led by Jok and Uthoff.
5) PSU's defensive numbers in conf play dont seem pretty thus far this season, but they have had an incredibly tough schedule this year already playing maryland, michigan twice, sparty, and purdue. When I watch this team I see a way better defensive team than one that is giving up the amount of points that they have against better competition.
6) PSU slows down the pace creating less possessions for Iowa.
I see this one in the range of 73- 58 tonight.
