Wednesday $$$$ Thread - 02.03.16 - Post Your One $$$$ Play

$$$$ THREAD CONCEPT - This thread is for all of us to share our expertise with everyone else to benefit the group.

THIS IS NOT A PICKING CONTEST!

PLEASE make special note of this! If you have an area of expertise, please make some $$$$ choices from your area of expertise when you have a game you are confident enough in to call it a "$$$$ PLAY". The difference between a PICK and a $$$$ PLAY is that a PICK is a game you like, a $$$$ PLAY is a game that you KNOW. If you are claiming your choice is a $$$$, and you really have NO true knowledge of that game, then you are just cheating us and posting your PICK just for attention and to see your name on the board.

RULES FOR POSTING - We will not track your $$$$ PLAY if you do not follow these rules. You are welcome to still post your PICK or card, but unless you do the things below, we won't be putting your $$$$ on the spreadsheet.

Only 1 $$$$ PLAY per day and a MAXIMUM of 4 per week. 

A week starts on Mon and ends on Sun.  You do not have to stay in one sport.

- No buying points.

- No other "line-manipulations: like teasers, etc.

- No parlays

- No props

- $$$$ PLAYS need to be -129 or lower.  Anything -130 and over, take the -1.5 goals or runs.

- Do not try to cheat on lines. We, as a group, are all over the lines and every time someone gives a stinky spread, it is always called out. If the line is off, the $$$$ doesn't go into the spreadsheet.

So this will be the replacement thread for what used to be called the (YOU KNOW WHAT) Thread.  The YKW term has been replaced by "$$$$".  Make sure to follow the posting rules if you want your $$$$ PLAY tracked and also make sure you clearly point out in your post that this is your $$$$ PLAY so all of us can see it and so I know to track it.

Yeah, that was tough bk.  Around the 65th minute it became pretty obvious that City was gonna try to win that game 1-0.  They needed to get a couple in the first half to open it up.

OK.  Gonna get my first $$$$ in right now before the line climbs, as I think it will throughout the day:

$$$$ PLAY = Washington (-3.5) over Arizona State

Washington is a juggernaut at home.  They have a huge home-court advantage and ASU is not a good team, and especially on the road.  UW has probably the Pac-12 POY in Andrew Andrews and then a bunch of freshmen.  The thing about freshmen is that they tend to excel at home and struggle on the road.  I think tonight they get the offense rolling and blow ASU out of the arena.  ASU is not very good and they looked like they may have kinda quit on Bobby Hurley over last weekend.  They played with little fire and no passion, and that was at home.  They have 2 Pac-12 wins, but at home, against the two worst teams in the conference - WSU and OSU, both of which will lose almost every road game in conference this year.  UW already beat ASU in Tempe by 4, so there is no reason that they can't replicate that result at home.  In fact, I think they win by 20.  One of their starters - Dickerson - is questionable with an ankle problem, but even if he doesn't play, that arena is just too much for a team like ASU, who looks uninspired, to keep it close.  I think Washington just runs them out of the arena tonight and covers the (-3.5) easily.

Ah I forgot you are the "First Half Guy", appleton!  Yes, first half plays are tracked, but only because there is enough time for people to look into the play and get the bet down.  Second half plays are not accepted as $$$$'s because they are too time-constrained.

Thanks DAB.  That is the eventual plan (hopefully) here - to separate out the people who are good at picking just a few of their absolute best plays every week.  If you trust them and they make a good argument, then they might provide you a good tailing opportunity.
