The point is that the money being made is clearly not being made to its 100% efficiency and the gov't wants to get as close to it as possible. Of course if you were the NBA you would want everyone to buy league pass.....so you can overcharge just like the ticket prices. Stop paying the players millions of dollars and you might turn a profit.

Hell, if McDonalds started pay $200 an hour I doubt they would have a $1 menu anymore

The FBI has its own cyber division so this has nothing to do with taking resources from any other divisions (terrorism) and such.  I love these sites but I figured they were illegal even though I have no problem watching them its just the way it is.

The pathetic nature of our government never ceases to amaze me. They invaded a foreign country under false pretenses, refuse to do anything about ILLEGAL immigration, and bailout the crooks on Wall St w/ our money. For some reason though, they deem it necessary to shut down sports viewing websites.

I should preface my previous comment that MY LOCAL COMPANY, BRIGHTHOUSE, still doesn't offer us "fans" w/ the NFL NETWORK, I know the NFL is nothing but a FAD

Because "cable" doesn't offer me NFL NETWORK in 2011 basically means "cable" is a fucking fraud, and they sure as fuck are lucky I'm not already suing them for certain hedonic damages

Takes away resources from stopping child porn, spammers, and hackers.   

This is almost a victimless crime.  The number of people that are watching atdhe that would pruchase the package is extremely small.  The NBA (for instance) probably makes 99% of their money from the package from sports bars.  If the NBA were smart, they'd realize that people watching their sport is a good thing, even if  they get it for free.

This is the US government overstepping their bounds, once again.

What these companies were doing was completely legal, as I have cited in this thread, yet no one wants to recognize that. No wonder the government gets away with shit like this, because no one wants to look into the details....

THE US DOES NOT OWN THE INTERNET, MAKING THIS ALL BULLSHIT!.... this is proven by the fact that the sites continue to operate with domain names not associated with the US.

Outside of the US, the right to simply have links to streams not embedded in a companies server has been upheld in Spain courts TWICE...

And raems, good luck with your illegal sports wagering....

If the Govt and states want more money then they should legalize online sportsbooks, make it squeeky clean, get action from all over the world and take their cut.................
