stop complaining about illegal streaming sites being shut down

those sites were illegal plain and simple. they are still up just with different domain names, i understand they were useful sites for sports fans/bettors but the bottom line is they were/are illegal and the government isn't being evil by shutting them down.

... most interesting thing is that I don't even recall there being an injunction an civil complaint against any of these websites.

Its too much money being lost and the govt cant afford to lose any more money.  With state the economy is in.

i'm sure there are more important things they can take care of but sites like atdhe.net really do fuck the US out of a lot of revenue being generated. Just think about how many less people get NBA league pass, MLB extra innings, etc, and how that affects the sports leagues, the cable providers, and the networks. That's a lot of commerce and money being missed out on when you put it in big picture, probably millions and millions of dollars that aren't being poured into the US economy. 

i obviously get that these sites were awesome and it'll be a bitch if we won't have them in the future, but it makes total sense for the government to try and shut them all down.

You think that money is going back into the economy!? Its going into Carmelo Anthony, A Roid and Bradys pockets and the CEOs of the cable corps who get taxes breaks.

Homeland securty took down the site? They cant find terrorists, but they can stop you from watching out of market games. Thanks Obama

Train, the economy is made up of all sorts of people. The fact whether it goes into Carmelo's pockets or a lower class person's pockets is completely beside the point. 

The point is that the money being made is clearly not being made to its 100% efficiency and the gov't wants to get as close to it as possible. The reality of the fact is that the spending multiplier is much higher when the money's being made by big business, it leaves a lot more money to be spent and trickle down. One extra dollar of revenue generated for a big business leads to a LOT MORE than one extra dollar of spending in the economy. 

Look, you can disagree with my statement, but it isn't dumb. I'm not here arguing whether or not big businesses really need the money more than Joe Schmo, all I know is that if I were the NBA I would clearly want more people buying League Pass, why would I let ATDHE.net slide, just because I'm a big company and can afford to eat the costs? Isn't the NBA heading into a lockout soon?
