Hey guys...I have also been playing the chasing streaks system for all sports.  I post the plays everyday for NBA, NCAAB and NHL.

How many times are you chasing before you call it a day?  I know that all streaks come to an end..but I am just curious your thoughts.

Been eyeing your picks. 

Ideally you would double until the streak ends.  There were 147 streaks of 5 or more last year, 29 went to 7 or more, none went beyond 9.  If you start at a streak of 5, you would be playing 16u at the 9 level, 32u at the 10 level. 

I am looking at the H/A split tonight to see if we should lay off a team until they are home.

I have SF at 6 (other sites have them at 0-7 right now as the UCSB game was lined but covers doesnt record it as a lined game.)

FYI in the NBA Detroit covered 13 straight..so you'd be at 512 units for that 10th bet against them.  That's the only reason I ask if you have a cutoff point...You'd be wagering 512 units after already losing 511 units...meaning your bankroll would have needed to be 1023 units (plus juice).

Yeah, Air - I tracked NBA for a few days - seemed really unreliable.  Last year they were doing this money watching thing that seemed to identify better when a streak would continue.

I don't believe the NBA has any effect on goallinebob's system. But a very good point, if you were using this system in the NBA, your tail is definitely between your legs, tailing 9 in a row (since you only bet once at either 0-4 or 4-0), and all nine being losers. wowzers. I think I would have to give it up somewhere around the 9th loss. But how can you? you know that they are eventually going to cover, so I feel that it is just a matter of how large your bankroll is. Like bob said in another forum though, if your bankrolls not large, start out very small.

I made some good coin off these trend reversing plays the end of the season last year. Made some tweaks I use, wanted to share them. I start the same, 3 covers or non-covers. then:

* lower betting percentage must be on system play, if the books really want to even things out, it makes no sense for them to try to draw action on the side they want to cover.

* if the system team has lost 3 or more in a row straight up and against the spread, I won't play a favorite as winning is usually enough for them

* the line of the game must be over corrected by the linesmaker. If there's not a significant change, system reversal should be considered as trend will probably continue

* favorable match-up must still be in place or no-play

tonight's games:

Iowa/N.Iowa - 70% bets on N.Iowa, oddsmakers have moved the line. in state rivalry. Iowa shot better last game, slow game tonight, I'm taking the points Iowa+11

CSU/Denver - 79% on Denver, line hasn't been set high enough by oddsmakers to attract CSU money, public initial thought is "Denver is very tough at home". Denver averaging 20 rebounds a game, pathetic. reversal play for me here: CSU +7

SF/SJS passing on this one, 95% on San Fran, small line, SJS returns all 5 starters from last year, SF losing machine but has played alot harder competition - yuk- no play for me

NBA is doing okay this year so far...NHL is actually the best so far....NCAAB has been solid as well.  And will continue to is San Fran would get off their asses and play tonight against San Jose St

* another note on the CSU reversal play, Denvers last 4 wins were by a combined 19 pts, 3 of the game were at home, and 2 were against non-lined competition, more fire for the CSU spread covering to continue not fail
