I'd take the screwjobs above in addition to SH's lack of familiarity with any tournament experience whatsoever (both coach and players) over adjusted defense metrics.
Do you trust Whitehead to take you home (he HAS to get it done in this spot for a win)? If this guy opens the game 2-7, watch out.
Whitehead was 5-15 & 5-13 last 2 games vs Xavier yet they won both. He gets to the line so dang much...He should abuse Gonzaga's guards.
At least Hall had the tourney in the Virgin Isles and a game at Wichita last year.

@ian @jr - originally I wanted to take Iona + a ton of points vs. any team in the first round.
Unfortunately, the tournament really screwed them by matching them up with the biggest bracket buster of last year in Iowa State who lost to a 14 seed in UAB.
Their one goal is to advance this year (publicly stated).
If that wasn't the case I'd take the points and run but because Iowa State will most likely win, 7.5 isn't enough for me to pull the trigger on Iona in a game that will be a monumental task to win outright.

Tsw- he has to hit those free throws though. A lot more pressure in this game.
Ian- not enough to recommend a side.

Great write up one of the best i have seen on covers. I am on SH plus i bought a couple points +5.5. I think it will be close as Gonzaga was almost watching this tourney from home. St. Mary's had beaten them twice because of guard play and this is where I think SH will win the game. I am hoping for a high scoring game, many games will go under as we have already seen in the 4 play in games.

There is a big chip on the shoulders of Seton Hall. The Seton Hall team feels like they were once again snubbed by the committee... WInning the big east, and now you have to travel all the way to Denver to play Gonzaga??? A total disrespect... There an extra motivational factor here for the pirates... Although Gonzaga has been this sort of "cinderella" team in March, I don't think their the same team as previous years. Yes, by Gonzaga being an 11 seed gives them "no added pressure" but I been following the pirates all season, and they somehow know how to elevate their game when it comes to the big stage. ALso, I think the pirates back court matches up well against the zaggys guards. If the pirates can speed up the tempo, press the zaggys guards, and try to get these big men for the zags in foul trouble, the Pirates have a realistic shot to move on. Just my 2 cents
