To be completely honest, I didn't think that something would strike me as being this strong early in the season, but I will be placing my largest wager of the year tonight on the Washington Huskies. This might upset people, but that's how it goes sometimes, and I don't post POY's at a rapid pace, but rather a successful rate. I truly believe that Washington is the best team in the country, and right now is playing better than anyone, and has impressed me more than any team in the country. The Huskies defense will win them this game tonight. I don't think the inexperience of Kentucky is going to be able to handle the type of in your face style of defense, experience and intensity that Washington brings to the table. Kentucky is going to be forced to defend the perimeter all night long and I fully expect Washington to be successful down low and wear them down in the end with their depth.
I don't make these kinds of calls unless I am fully confident in the outcome, and my posted POY's are 5-1 since posting here on covers with the most recent being the Lions on the NFL side this year. I like this outcome even more than that game for those that remember.
Tonight's Final Score Forecast
Washington 87 Kentucky 72
Tonight's Play Washington -2.5
Best of luck to everyone regardless of your plays tonight.

For those of you playing Futures, I just locked in on Washington +5000 to win the National Championship. I think those odds go down considerably from this point forward and it's worth sprinkling for that kind of value right now.

Barring injury they should cruise to a Pac-10 title... so much talent on that team its ridiculous -- +5000 is probably a lot of value for them
Completely agree, I don't think Arizona will be able to stay within
reach of Washington. I decided that +5000 was probably going to be around the
cap that I could get it at, so I punched it in before tonight's game
where I expect that number to drop as far as the futures play goes.
Might_Be_All_In, very nice, that's unbelievable value for what they are bringing to the table this year. It will be interesting to see how far it drops after tonight. This game has a ton of national exposure, and if Washington blows them out, which I expect, that number will fall substantially.
If I am on the wrong side here, I will not make another play for the
remainder of the college basketball season and just let the futures
play ride out. Let's hope that's not the case

I'll be all smiles on black fri. this year! Locked and cocked ... thanks in advance for your GREAT forcast
You won't be the only happy shopper on Black Friday if the Forecast prevails tonight. I have a lot of shopping to do this year, and haven't even started.

i can't believe washington is +5000...definitely gonna sprinkle a few bucks on that.
haven't made my pick yet for tonight but i am leaning your way
BOL
I was surprised as well, especially with how well the performed in the tournament last year as an 11 seed. This is a hungry team that got close to reaching the Final Four last year. I can't believe how much improvement they have made defensively this year.

As an alumnus, I haven't been this excited about a Washington BB team since the Detlef Schrempf days of the 80's.
Maaaan, Washington is EXPLOSIVE. I think Kentucky will have periods where they slip a little...and before you know it, the Huskies will capitalize with 6 or 8 points in a blink of an eye.

I think tonight we will see a frustrated John Calipari, followed by a post-game press conference talking about how it was a good test for his young team to try and beat a far superior team in a hostile environment. This one should be good from tip to buzzer.

yea uk had to much heart desire and defense. and also they can light the three up just like washington and the legnth of the cats will not allow washington to shoot the three like they did again. gonna be a battle but definately not a play of year. im takin cats ml. coach cal has t jones playing like a 5 star stud. brandon knight beautiful stroke. darius miller strokiing the ball. deandre liggins long lanky arms for the defence. just boys on your play of year be careful becuz i do believe the cats will advance to be playing the michigan state in a blowout over the uconn huskies
