70% of the public is on Monmouth, and that's currently the highest one on the board. Now, I'm not suggesting the "Fade Scal" gambling method is responsible, but I'm also not NOT saying that.....
Good luck today buddy, I don't want to see you go. Covers needs our boy Scal around much like the dung beetle needs, well, you know.....

Yesterday's play was not a coin flip. I watched Indiana lose 5 straight games to make that play.
I chose a poor line. That is where the fault lies. I can't have it all in that I can't have the great line AND the great spot but Indy's home court is more than sufficient to cover by two baskets. One of the best in the nation. I can't ask for more than being up 10 at the half.

Gimmee, this has all the standard ingredients, even without capping the game:
1) Massive public favorite
2) "Insufficient" line for the square
3) Incomparable winning streak
4) vs. a Team that is sketchy at best
Clemson didn't come in yesterday for many bettors. This is a similar spot with a better team in Iona (in it's own right) but it is up a against a far better team in Monmouth in comparison to FSU and how it plays on the road.
And after all that, the books are taking 2. I'm siding with the books.
It's a real shame I couldn't concentrate on two games (one is more than enough for me right now) because the Lakers Spurs game is very interesting with a huge spread and with Magic being brought into the fold. I just think at this point, it's within everyone's best interest in LA to tank (even though I never thought they would). But jettisoning Lou Williams screamed as such.
Today's game will go a long way to telling how the Lakers will play in a future game I am eyeballing.

I agree with you Scal, when i first saw this spread it jumped out at me. I like Iona to win outright, but i think it will be a close game that could be decided within the last minute and whoever has the better possessions will win. I have a bet on SPC first and if i win that i will look to double on Iona GL

I hate to go against a well thought out analysis from Scalabrine but for me this quote says it all. For Monmouth, if they have any shred of competitive fire and understand the landscape of at-large picks (which I'm sure they do based on last year) they should be mentally, totally prepared to win this game...but we are dealing with 18-22 year olds.

Scal, why would you risk your money on lesser of the 2 teams. I want you to ask yourself who is a better team Monmouth or Iona? If you believe Iona is a better team then I'm happy with your decision but I believe Monmouth is a better team than Iona. If I lose money I'm going to lose on the better team. I wish you luck with your play.

Thank you guys. Appreciate the support. But I need a win for my roll and just general capping confidence for god's sake. A win and nothing less!
Buffer sometimes the best bet is on the worst team at the perceived worst possible time.
The line is now -2.5 on 5Dimes. This is a very good thing as support swells for Monmouth as we get closer to tip and the books take on even more liability on the Iona side.

Line has now entered the "Clemson Covers against FSU territory" where you simply couldn't support them at -1 but +2.5 had you interested in clemson. If it gets to 3 this fact will be screamed from the heavens because 3/3.5 is significant in what has to be a close game particularly with the home side.

Under I'll answer one of those questions- I do not sleep well, in part, due to the "come down" necessary to get some shut eye after a win and worse, a loss.
