  YEP! Tough one but I really feel BUTLER with their style and what a storyline! I like Butler there! But thats tomorrow! I  am 7-2 in last two nights and stepped up yesterday with 3-1 nik plays!  Got to keep on going! I am all over on Dayton and their overs? Really think Im staying with NC! Liking Denver and Dallas in pros also! BOL FRIEND! PG

special K...what's happening bro?  I am on Duke, LARGE.  Both teams play solid Defense, and rebound well, the only difference I can find between the two is on the offensive end.  WVU has trouble knocking down shots, they win by rebounding, but Duke will battle with them there, unless Butler is on fire they will not be able to score with Dukes big three.

I am also laying a large wager on the Uconn Dynasty.  Baylor has one player, Uconn has 6, Huskies by 30 very well may be the best bet of the weekend.  May even add to it, depending on the Duke outcome.

In a champ game though, I like WVU over Butler, I think WVU matches up great with them and would win that game going away, however if it's MSU vs WVU, Id take the points with MSU at anything 4.5 or above. Last year, Dayton handled WVU easily, knew what they were doing, and took away a lot of stuff. Their coach comes from Izzo's tree and they would play similar. Both teams rebound and defend the same way, switching ball screens and running a lot of motion.

This game can be viewed as toss up, with WV - BIG East champs coming to battle. I watched the Big East torny as surely you did the same, and this team can turn it up whenever necassary blowing the game wide open - see KY, etc.. Coach K is a master mind but he wont have his hands on the rock!

Remember BUTLER is the best player on either team.


WV +3 is a bargain (extra day of rest too)


Remember how many wide open looks from 3 Kentucky had?  I bet Duke doesnt shoot that poorly.


Remember how many 2 point buckets West Virginia made in the first half of that game?

Duke is first in the nation in 3 point percentage allowed.  TERRIBLE matchup for West Virginia.


Duke is first in the nation in offensive efficiency and is playing against a team whos offense consists of throwing it off the backboard and hoping to get the offensive rebound.

Not going to play any totals or first halves on the games but I lean under on WVU/Duke and over on Butler/Michigan State.

I've read up on WVU/Duke every which way... I still stand by my pick.  At the end of the day, I think Duke's ability to finish on the offensive end will get them the win.  I also think the revenge factor will be a big part as will the satirical picture of Coach K published by the IndyStar the other day.

I think Butler is a great story... would be amazing if they win this game and they got the chance to play for the nat'l championship in their own city.  But it almost feels like Indy has already begun coronating this team and I feel like there's a huge let down on the rise.  Gordon Hayward got a standing ovation in his math class for christ's sake... As nice as it is to play in Indy, I also think there's a whole lot of pressure that goes along with it.  In addition, the amount of attention that they're getting, the media hoopla surrounding the final four, all will work against this team IMO.  I like Sparty because they've been there and done that... they've been the home team (and lost mind you) and now get a chance to learn from the pasting they got from UNC at Ford Field.  I also have been preaching the clutch coaching of Izzo this time of the year.  The last time he lost as a dog of 5 or less points in the tourney was to Texas in the 02/03 NCAA Tourney.  I think Butler's lack of depth in the frontcourt will be exposed... I think we'll see the old, foul happy Matt Howard Saturday and look for MSU to capitalize off that.  I saw Butler play in person last week and I was so impressed by their aggressive m2m defense, especially from their guards so that's definitely a concern for me, but I believe Izzo will find a way and will advance to the finals.
