I thought Purdue would have a chance in this game. Minus those 2 players, though, they are so thin...Mich State will wear them down.

Purdue will get creamed on the boards and at depth. Too bad, I liked Byrd, he was a hot shooter.

I'm not going to get into any discussion on my betting methods; but if you want to make money in hoops, cut down on your side plays and focus on 2nd half totals. Also, keep your betting amount consistent.

mich st looks real good ...theres 2 things bothering me though about that pick

1. when one team is missing 1 or 2 players 90% of te time that team covers

2. the oddsmakers know that these 2 r out and they still only put mich st -4?

i might be over thinking this but u got to ask yourself these questions

u r right about keeping the amount consistent..very true what u said...but i think all of us like some games alot more than others..my problem is i bet way too many games ...games i know that will cover i bet them then i go and bet 2 games i have no clue about

#1 cant be true. what about LSU last week? and what about fading Santa Clara the day after Foster got that DUI? ive made a lot of money by fading teams with missing players this year. didn't happen today on Albany though

#2...it opened at 3 and moved to 5 in a few hours. that's a pretty strong movement...and it might get even higher by morning

I have my own method for picking 2nd half totals for basketball games. It works well for me.

Since you like to play sides, you should eliminate the emotional attachment to the game as much as possible. Trust in the fact that the line is determined by people smarter than you or I, when it comes to gambling. It accounts for everything. If a situation changes, such as a player is absent, the line is self-correcting.

Also know that MOST people can't remove themselves from the emotional, human nature aspect of betting. They "feel" strongly about their side picks. So they end up wrong more often than right. Hence the saying, "the public is always wrong".  

Personally, I am staying away from betting a side for the the Mich State game. I'll wait to see what the point totals are for the !st half, then make a decision on 2nd half totals.

good stuff..at this point i dont care if its a total on a game i will play it..i feel like im in a funk and just need that 1 big win to get me out of it ..i was thinking of a moneyline parlay of miami heat,duke,wisky and maybe mich st or indiana pacers but the pacers pick scares me..they have been playing like crap lately

A lot of time that happens, though, the player in question was in a bad car crash or personal tragedy. So the rest of the team is thinking "let's win this one for him" or something.

Well, the Purdue players were in a bar fight so I'm sure the team is pretty pissed off at them.

Realistically, Purdue is pretty thin on the bench to begin with and Mich State will kill them on the inside if Green stays out of foul trouble.

Definitely betting big on MSU tomorrow, even though the two games I lost today SDSU+Gonzaga seemed like no brainers, I think MSU blows Purdue out

Vandy---but remember---betting basketball is different than betting football---small bets , patience, homework,and a little luck make more sense than one or two big bets...Oh, Vandy has the better value as far as betting goes today. As a point, yesterday I had some parlays , some straightups , dogs , and favs. It was a busy day researching but nothing over 3 units---after the dust settled I was up 5 units. Now to me that was fun, I'm not going out to buy a new car but I can fill up my tank on the one I own. Good luck today and start doing your homework NOW so you can enjoy the game later !!

DON't play so many games for one thing, & stay off teasers & parlays, if you must at least till your + $$ w/the book.  As for today. we all over think these lines at times.  Vegas DOES make mistakes, rare but they do make em.  Yesterday was the best day for me all yr 8-2, there were approx 160 games.  It was just like opening few wks, too many gms for even LV to cap em alll.  Drex was a prime example, no way they should have been the dog.  Today, if it's not too outrageous ML on MSU for the max.  Or -whatever for a G, Spartans will crush Boilers, Humle is all they have, that GREAT MSU D will shut him down.  Purdue may not hit 50!!  BOL & get a 5Dimes acct, fuck that local, way too restrictive.

One more thing on Pur/MSU, other than Hummel @ 6'8", there is little size on the starting 5.  Unless Spartans completely shit the bed. they'll dominate the boards.  I see a DD W.  IMO Izo is too good a coach to let that happen.  I also like Vandy but not as strong.  Once again BOL.

hey brother  I was  looking at your post and yes there is 1 game that's stand's out and it's a very good money line the game is not B BALL it's in hockey. just take a look at the game the bet is SAN JOSE +130 detroit just had a very hard game against NASH and today san jose come's into town a very nice play here san jose lost something like 3 game's in a row today is the day that detroit does lose the bet SAN JOSE gl my brother
