It's been a long time since I posted a play. That being the CBS lock thread . Holmey 's presence inspired me to jump in. Have been trolling covers since CBS shut us down . Found a game tonight which is worthy of a $$$$ pick. Both ole miss and Florida love to take it to the hoop. Will only slow it down if playing that style (Texas a&m) or dominated( Kentucky).expect this game to go past 150. Expect all the starters for both clubs to play. Last game between these two teams was 151 .should happen again and even higher. $$$$ playing ole miss over 146. Good luck to all , bandit

Well this pick isn't going to be a fan favorite but statistically speaking this is my best play for today and that was WITH giving the home team an extra point (total of 4) since it is a tough place to play.
I also saw two capper sites I read go the other way as well as the Covers free pick by Power Sports on the covers homepage so you got to be a true Bubba follower to roll with me here.
$$$$ Xavier -1
Creighton has lost 3 of 4 with the lone win coming against DePaul. That can happen in the Big East but if you watched the Seton Hall game in Omaha it raised some red flags for me with this Creighton team and let me know they aren't too special. Seton Hall has a pretty athletic squad this year and this is not a knock to them but if I told you that Creighton would shoot and make more free throws, have a similar FG% and get beat by Seton Hall in Omaha by double digits (they were down by 20 at one point) you wouldn't believe me. Now lets swap out that Seton Hall team with the Musketeers and that is where we find the real angle of this game. Seton Hall handled Creighton easily because they killed them on the boards out-rebounding them 46-27. There is only one team better than Seton Hall at rebounding in the Big East and guess who it is.... Xavier. Creighton can not afford to miss especially beyond the arc tonight and still have a chance because Xavier is just as good offensively as Creighton if not better. This Xavier team continues to impress and I believe Xavier comes out ahead in a high scoring offensive minded game.
Both teams have trends that are pretty impressive SU and ATS on Tuesdays, on the road, at home etc. but the one trend that makes Xavier stand out here is that Creighton is 1-5 against the Top 25 this year and have dropped 12 of their last 13 to ranked opponents.

That is a very good question, and, as far as I can recall, something we have never discussed before.
Can any of the CBS guys remember considering it in the past?
Let me think about it for a little while and give you a ruling. I think there are good pros and cons to allowing it or not allowing it.

That is a very good question, and, as far as I can recall, something we have never discussed before.

I'm guessing with two decent teams who are at the top of the food chain in the Mac conference that the defensive intensity will be ramped up a notch tonight with this being a big game for both teams. I'm expecting a game that will be played in the low to mid 60's and will stay under the posted total

New Mexico leads Utah State in all major offense and defense categories. New Mexico has scored 80+ points in four out of its last five games. Utah State has scored in the 60's in four out of their last five games. I think New Mexico plays inspired basketball after a letting a win go against a good San Diego State team. $$$$ Play Heat +7.5 I been following Miami closely since they bottomed out at home vs. Bucks in a 91-79 home loss. They were depleted with injuries and coming off a brutal 6 game roadie that saw them play at altitude in Den and Utah and then run against Warriors and OKC, they were spent and done. They went on another 5 game road trip after that brief 1 home game and managed to go 3-2 despite the injuries. Once again they briefly came home for 1 game beat Atl then hit the road again winning 2 of 3 grinding down Cha and Dal. This is the 1st time in over a month that Miami has had a 2 game home stand! They lost on a barrage of late 3s to the Clips Sunday but I think will have the defense and healthy players to compete with the Spurs tonight. Whiteside should be a big plus on the boards. This is Miami's last game before their 10 day All Star break and they catch SA w/out Duncan, Ginobli or Bonner and get 7.5pts at home. I see maximum effort here from Mia.

I like it BUBBA!! And that ONE top 25 win was against fraud BUTLER when they were ranked #23! Also against the teams above them in the standings this year, a 6 game sample, they only average 66 ppg. BOL!!

I have yours on the sheet today, but that is the bone-minimum for a writeup. Check out the posts by StraightWagers and FenwayFrank above to see what we are looking for. If your earlier posts didn't have a writeup that discussed the game and players and such, then I didn't track them. The first post of the thread every day explains what you guys have to do to get your $$$$ tracked. We appreciate all plays posted here, as any information is good to consider, but if you want your play tracked, you need to give us some original insight that you KNOW about the teams playing. Thanks Eagles.

First time adding my 2 cents. I am an SEC guy and will make my $$$$ play this evening on the Florida Gators -9. This is not a homer play mind you. Florida is 11-1 at home this season. They play very well in the ODome. Ole Miss 5-4 on the road this year, losing 3 of their last 4 on the road. Only victory was vs Mizzou. In their defense, they have been competitive.
Gators owns the field goal % as well as the better D & rebounding plus a deeper bench. Siaz may be back for the Rebs which is a positive, but he has been out for almost a month so how effective will he be??? Gators going for the sweep as they beat Ole Miss by 9 in Oxford. With a wild crowd in Gville tonight, it is worth at least a 3 point home advantage.
I also think after that Kentucky debacle, Florida knows it is in a must win situation to keep their tourny aspirations viable. They come out bombing tonight and win this game by double digits.

Only conference game lost by DD was a road game at Kentucky. Sure this could be the spot for it to maybe happen again but like you said this team is very competitive and Saiz will be back for this game to help rebels inside game. He will be effective enough to fill that void that Reb's have struggled to fill with him gone. You are just asking too much for Florida to win this game by 15 especially given the fact that Ole miss last 5 games has gotten back in rhythm. Not to mention Ole miss loves playing florida and they are the gators kryptonite and have been for some time. Just not a very high % play overall but may the best side win

Their talking about some power forward running the point tonight?? I think they lost their last 3 roadies by DD and even lost at MIZZOU!! I don't follow them but I know they blow!! Thoughts??
