both are overrated in my opinion.

...more contenders from the Big East than from the ACC, imo.

...starting to think there's no elite team in CBB this season, so there's a major chance for a sleeper to come in hot and steal one in the tourney

Joe Lunardi has both with 8 teams in right now. Gtown and Cincy are the in the last four out. Of the ACC's 8 teams, they have a 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 11. The Big East's 8 teams are 1, 1, 2, 4, 4, 6, 7, 12. The Big East also has 2 teams in the last four out.
ACC has an average seed of 6.125 and Miami in the last 4 in and none in the last 4 out.
Big East has an average seed of 4.625 and Prov in the last 4 in and 2 in the last four out.
So Joe Lunardi's take is that the Big East is the better conference.

UNC, Louis, Uconn,  Duke...all have the stuff to get it done, thats all that matters from that point on....I'll take a look at what the numbers are

smashed i agree with the first three, but i don't think Duke has a shot in hell. they don't have the talent, don't have the size, no athleticism outside of henderson. one of the lower end duke teams i've seen in a long time, they lack discipline, don't spread the court like most duke teams, and just can't hit the 3 ball like past seasons. i don't expect anything more than a one and done out of them. think wake clemson miami and VT are all ACC squads that can go farther than duke. and after tonight you have to put PITT into the factor. while i'm not impressed with the big 12 at all, it's hard to evaluate oklahoma

agree, the cuse have to make the tourney to be a threat, and even if they do no one fears the cuse.

You do realize that game was 2 months ago, right? Marquette is a much different team than they were back in December. In college basketball you can't look back at games like that and say "well this team lost to this team or this team struggled with this team"...very ignorant thinking on your part and you obviously don't know the game very well. Nice job on your first post...

I really like the look of the Marquette team, I just don't see a signature win yet. The next four games will be critical for them.(After SH tonite)@GU, UConn, @Lou & @Pitt. I see any but @GU being a terrific win. We'll see.

this discussion will be over when duke plays st johns thursday when the 12th team in the big east beats the overated acc's 3rd best in the blue deuches of duke.  It will be in new york where pitt handled duke, then bitch slapped the acc back to reality...

As much as I enjoy seeing Dook lose, I'll be surprised if it happens against St. Johns. They've been the ACC's doorknob this year and Dook will be the 4th team to get a turn.

i am a homer for pitt yes but not the entire big east. all i want to see is pitt vs unc so blair can make tyler his bitch
 
no college player could make tyler their bitch especially no on eout of the big east ide leave it to griffin to hold tyler to below a double double and that would require more than just having a great game you have to outpride the kid which is pretty much impossible

Thank you. My thoughts exactly. Thats what i was saying earlier. I mean whats the point of even having a conference debate in the 1st place with acc/big east. Its annoying. Teams win titles, not conferences. We should be debating who can make a run or win it all not what conference is better. Do you want a cookie for winning the acc?

Why don't you start a thread about it? This thread is about peoples opinions of 2 conferences, not about who will win the tournament. Why would you come in a thread just to complain?

because people will constantly say a team cant win the title because of a certain conference they are in. You can have a great team in a bad conference (memphis) and they are still better than most teams in stronger conferences. Those people are wrong in saying that, so that relates to this thread. Whats the point of saying well the big east has a better top 4, but the acc is stronger towards the bottom. Who cares
