such biased big east opinions. the cuse better than clemson? i know clemson is sliding but are you kidding me? the cuse better than miami? have you watched these teams.  louisville is dangerous when playing their best ball, they got great coaching, i think they have the ability to go the farthest of the big east teams. pitts is playing great ball, but i won't be surprised if i see them get upset in the 2nd round, to me pitts is always overhyped and gets upset as a 2-3 seed. when shooting well wake forest is the best team in the nation, their consistency is a problem, but with so much size and athleticism, if they're hitting their shots they're unstoppable. UNC is in the same category, more talent than wake but not the same size and athleticism. I think the ACC is definately the better conference but its close. Not too caught up on oklahoma, i show no love for big 12 bball one thing we can all agree on, this is making to be a hell of a ncaa tournament

my tourney pick goes to UNC no matter how square it sounds, lawson has been absolutely dominating as of late, when his jumpers on he is unstoppable, so quick and good at finding the open wingman or tyler when he drives. same can be said for teague and fields, UCONN doesn't have that guy anymore now with dyson out.

Not in disagreement w/ u my friend... Agreed, has much to do with matchups and bracket draw... Just curious why you would back this team to win it all 2 years in a row. I was high on Louisville as well as Wisconsin w/ u last yr and respect your insight.  I think over last 15 only one's I've picked were Cuse w/ Carmello, Terps w/ Juan, and UCLA w/ Tyus Edny (and a big miracle :)

I'm not caught up on Big-12 Bball either, but I've been watching enough to know Griffin is the Real Deal. If you get a chance, check him out.

Jumping into this a little late but I'd like to chime in and say that I think there's one team in this entire thread who seems to be very UNDERRATED by everybody.....MARQUETTE, 21-4 overall and 10-2 in the Big East (tied at the top in the loss column with UConn, Pitt and 'Ville)!
 
 
No love here for Jerel McNeal, Wesley Matthews, Lazar Hayward, and the rest of the MARQUETTE GOLDEN EAGLES???

you're right i noticed that too lakers, marquette has such excellent guard play, don't think they have what it takes to win the big dance, but they definately have what it takes to make a deep run.

Do they play the national championship with the two best conferences best players or do they play with the two best teams? 
 
I thought a team wins the national championship in april, not a conference.  so what does any of this matter.

luvofmoney, if you've ever entered the ncaaf football forum you'd know plenty of SEC homers are making that point, and they are right. also noone said the tourney winner was coming out of these conferences, just said they are the most talented and deepest, if you're not gonna bring anything to the forum besides useless bitter posts then don't post here

Papi you're right they can be exposed, they live by jumpshots and when they are off it takes away their guards penetration. thats why i believe they have what it takes to make a bit of a run, but don't have what it takes to win it all.

Louisville convinced this pass weekend they really look complete as team.  I mean it was Depaul but still they moved the ball around well made great shots  imean they really look like a championship team.  They will def be in the final 4. 
 
Even though everyone is on Piitt I feel they run out of gas come tourney time.....
 
Im ACC to heart and I guess thats only bc I live right here in the mist of it....UNC has the only chance imo.

The point was the conference as a whole........TOP TO BOTTOM....Dont know why people are trying to pick out 2 or 3 teams and comparing them

umgmu, thats a tough one to say, any of those teams could win against each other on any given night. they all present different mismatches for each other.

Havent said a word about Clemson man...And yes that was a terrible loss at Virginia.....But I actually like Marquette.....Have liked Dominic James the last couple of years.....

whose talking up the SEC bball conference in here? forums are for debate and discussion, not "this is stupid comments" grow up man, its over. the best conference is obviously not relevant to who wins the championship (although playing the best talent helps a team succeed) , the best team on the other hand is.

my boy, ken has 6 ACC teams and 8 Big East teams in the top 50. 
That's 50% of each league. 

seems even to me.

I'm still not sold the ACC is any better than the Big East.  The Big 10 went toe to toe with the ACC and basically showed they had the deeper conference, the ACC was just better at the top.  The big 10 is no big east, and this is coming from a Big 10 guy.

The bottom of the Big East is DEFINITELY much weaker than the ACC, so it depends what we are comparing.  As far as legit elite 8 teams, I think more reside in the Big East.

UCONN, Pitt, L'ville, Marquette, Nova, West Virginia, Cuse, West Virginia, Gtown, Notre Dame   --- 3 of these teams might NOT even make the dance b/c of the brutal schedule in conference play, they are all better than all but the top 4 in the ACC IMO.

And just because UCONN lost tonight without their top scorer does not make them fradulent i my opinion.  I think a team like Wake is very fraudulent as you never know what you're going to get with them and they are too young to take all that seriously I think.
