The Montreal Alouettes look to win an eighth straight game when they take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET (TSN) from Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg.

Led by the league's top QB, Davis Alexander, the CFL odds have Montreal as a 6.5-point favorite, and my Alouettes vs. Blue Bombers predictions and CFL picks are backing the Als to win big on the road.

Who will win Alouettes vs Blue Bombers: Alouettes -6.5 (-115)

The Montreal Alouettes haven't lost a game since June 20, haven't failed to cover in a game since June 28, and haven't won by fewer than double digits since July 18. Montreal is more than living up to its billing as the Grey Cup odds favorite.

Over their last four games, the Alouettes have beaten opponents by an average of 20.5 points and have put up 46+ in back-to-back outings. With Davis Alexander at the helm, Montreal leads the league in yards per game (456.3) and ranks No. 2 in points per game (36.7).

While the Winnipeg Blue Bombers do have Zach Collaros back in the fold, they've been shaky throughout the season. In games Top 3 scoring defenses, Winnipeg is 1-2 ATS; Montreal is No. 2 in points allowed per game (26.3).

However, the Alouettes opened at -5.5, and if this spread balloons beyond -6.5, I'd have a hard time taking Montreal.

Alouettes vs Blue Bombers total prediction: Over 59.5 (-108)

The Alouettes have been an Over machine this season. They've hit the Over in eight of 10 games. That's thanks to Alexander and the favorite to win CFL Most Outstanding Canadian, Tyson Philpot.

The dynamic duo has Montreal No. 1 in the CFL in passing yards per game (337.5), with Alexander atop the board for QB rating (124.5) and Philpot leading the league in receiving yards by nearly 400 yards (1,229). Montreal has scored fewer than 30 points just once, and that was two months ago.

With Collaros healthy, Winnipeg is capable of putting up enough points on its end to hit the Over — it's put up 27+ points in three of five games he's been healthy for this season.

The Over is only in play if this number stays below 61.5.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Montreal is 4-2 ATS against Winnipeg over their last six meetings, which includes the Alouettes beating the Blue Bombers in the 110th Grey Cup.

Alouettes vs Blue Bombers same-game parlay

The Alouettes are as consistent covering the spread as they are hitting the Over. They're 8-2 ATS and 8-2 betting the Over this season.

Thanks to the league's most consistent offense, the Als have covered the spread and hit the Over in four of their last six games.
