Evander Holyfield vs Vitor Belfort odds analysis

As the far more experienced pugilist, Holyfield enters this fight as a -140 favorite, despite being 14 years Belfort's senior. While he's not far off the senior's discount at Denny's, Holyfield was one of the most feared fighters ever during his prime, holding a world heavyweight belt four times between 1990 and 2000.

29 of Holyfield's 44 professional wins came via KO, and he is best known for his defeats of Mike Tyson in 1996 and '97 (the latter of which by DQ after the infamous ear-biting incident).

Holyfield's last professional fight was a TKO victory against Brian Nielsen in 2011, after which he announced his retirement following an inability to secure a fight against either of the Klitschko brothers.

Vitor Belfort is a former UFC light heavyweight champion, who has competed in various MMA disciplines since 1996. He enters the Holyfield fight as a slight underdog at +110. Belfort holds a share of the UFC record with 12 knockouts, and has the third-most finishes with 14.

Belfort has one professional boxing credit on his resume: a first-round TKO of Josemario Nevesway back in 2006.

"The Phenom"'s knockout power is undeniable, and he opened as a -175 favorite for this bout, but the odds have jumped the fence and swung Holyfield as the favorite.
