Valkyries vs Wings Predictions, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s WNBA Game

The Valkyries are short-handed and already defend the perimeter poorly. This is a recipe for success for Arike Ogunbowale and Paige Bueckers from downtown.

The WNBA Commissioners Cup wraps up play with six games on the WNBA slate, including the Golden State Valkyries taking on the Dallas Wings.

Golden State struggles to guard the perimeter, and my Valkyries vs. Wings predictions expect Arike Ogunbowale and Paige Bueckers to exploit Golden State from long range.

Read on as I share my WNBA picks for Tuesday, June 17.

Valkyries vs Wings predictions

My Valkyries vs Wings best bet: Arike Ogunbowale 3+ threes (+210 at FanDuel)

Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale is beginning to heat up from downtown.

Ogunbowale, a career 34% 3-point shooter, is hitting 31% on nearly seven attempts per game this season, giving her a great shot at landing 3+ triples tonight.

The Wings All-Star drained 3 of 8 from downtown in her last outing against a solid Las Vegas defense. I like the +210 odds that she repeats that performance against the Golden State Valkyries.

The Valkyries rank among the league’s worst at defending the arc, allowing 35% on 26 three-point attempts per game, which is ideal for Ogunbowale to exploit.

She’s hit 3+ threes in four of 12 games, including two of her last three. At +210, these odds are too good to pass.

Paige Bueckers pick: Bueckers makes it rain

My best bet
Paige Bueckers Over 1.5 threes (+126 at FanDuel)

I like Paige Bueckers to knock down at least two threes for the same reasons I love the Ogunbowale prop.

Bueckers averages three long-range attempts per game, but she will take what the Valkyries will give her, and those gifts will likely be from beyond the arc, where the former UConn star thrives.

Bueckers makes 41% of her 3-point attempts and has knocked down two or more triples twice, including five on June 11 at Phoenix.

The +126 odds provide excellent value for knocking down at least two triples tonight against this bottom-tier Valkyries' perimeter defense.

Valkyries vs Wings same-game parlay (SGP)

Arike Ogunbowale 3+ threes

Paige Bueckers 2+ threes

Wings moneyline

In a clash of top-pace teams, the 1-11 Dallas Wings (0-5 at home) should overpower a shorthanded Golden State Valkyries squad missing Janelle Salaun, Julie Vanloo, Cecilia Zandalasini, and likely Temi Fagbenle for EuroBasket.

Ogunbowale and Bueckers will exploit a flailing defense allowing 35% from deep. With fewer perimeter defenders, this fast-paced game favors Dallas’ stars.
