Valkyries vs Sun best bet: Under 151.5 -110
The Connecticut Sun are the lowest-scoring team in the WNBA (79.2 ppg), with the Golden State Valkyries only one spot ahead of them at 82.5 ppg. Golden State also has the best scoring defense (76.3 ppg) in the league, with Connecticut ranking sixth (86.9 ppg).
The Valkyries slow down the game like no other team, ranking last in pace metrics by a wide margin. They've hit the Under in six straight games, while the Sun have done so in seven of their last eight.
Everything points to the Under here, and I'm betting it down to 150.5 points.
COVERS INTEL: The Valkyries are the worst raw shooting team in the league (42.1%), while the Sun have the lowest effective field goal percentage in the WNBA (47.0%). Both teams will find it hard to get buckets tonight.
Valkyries vs Sun same-game parlay
The Sun are one of the weakest teams in the WNBA, and they're on a back-to-back. But coming off a strong win on Tuesday, this is a lot of points to give Connecticut at home. And with such a low-scoring affair on tap, I'm taking the Sun to cover getting 13.5 points.
As a part of that effort, I'm backing Aaliyah Edwards (10.6 ppg) to score Over 11.5 points. Edwards has stepped up in the absence of Brittney Griner and Olivia Nelson-Ododa in the paint, scoring 12 or more points in five of her last six games. After a 26-point effort on Tuesday, she's a great value to hit her scoring Over again.
