The Seattle Storm looks to finish off a four-game road trip with a third straight win when they visit the lowly Connecticut Sun on Wednesday.

The Sun sit last in the standings with just two wins on the year and enter this one as massive 17.5-point home underdogs. Our Storm vs. Sun predictions and WNBA picks are steering clear of that lopsided spread and focusing on the total.

Storm vs Sun predictions

My Storm vs Sun best bet: Over 155.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

The books are giving zero incentive for the favorites to win, setting the Seattle Storm as monstrous -2200 favorites. The Connecticut Sun have offered nothing to indicate they’re ready to compete in what looks like a throwaway season.

They're last in the league in both points scored (70.9) and points allowed (88.7). That’s contributed to the Sun riding a franchise-worst 10-game losing skid, losing eight of those by double digits.

Seattle sits in a dead heat with Atlanta for fourth in the league at 12-7, and at 6-4 away from home, are tied with Minnesota for most road wins. The Storm have ripped off wins in six of their last eight, including a win over the defending champs in New York last time out.

The Storm handled Connecticut 97-81 in their first meeting of the year on June 27, cruising past the total of 156.5. It’s part of a nice Seattle run for Over bettors, cashing the Over seven times in its last 10 games.

The No. 6 scoring team in the league should be able to light up that porous Sun defense and push this past the total one more time.

Storm vs Sun same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 155.5

Gabby Williams Over 12.5 points

Tina Charles Over 3.5 rebounds

Gabby Williams was Seattle’s leading scorer last time out, potting 16 points on a crisp 7-for-13 shooting. Williams is averaging 13.4 points per game on the year, and she also went for 16 points on 5-for-11 shooting last time the Storm played the Sun.

For Connecticut, veteran Tina Charles has struggled on the glass of late, going Under her total of 3.5 rebounds set for Wednesday in three of her last four. That included the center getting held to two rebounds in the loss to Seattle on June 27.

However, the 36-year-old has been a lot better at home, grabbing at least four boards in each of Connecticut’s eight home games on the season. She should stay on trend against the Storm.
