As WNBA mismatches go, it doesn’t get much more lopsided than the in-form New York Liberty visiting the slumping Connecticut Sun tonight.

Even without Sabrina Ionescu, New York enters on a four-game win streak, and my Liberty vs Sun predictions single out Jonquel Jones for a productive night on the boards and as a playmaker against a Connecticut team that’s rock bottom in the standings.

Liberty vs Sun prediction

Liberty vs Sun best bet: Jonquel Jones Over 11.5 rebounds + assists (-112)

The New York Liberty haven’t been at their best yet this season, but Jonquel Jones is putting up numbers — and her stats have spiked during the Liberty’s winning run.

Jones has sailed past this combo prop O/U in four of her last five games, and she’s largely been getting it done on the glass, with 12.2 rebounds per game in that span. That spells trouble for the Connecticut Sun here, with Brittney Griner ruled out.

Don’t sleep on Jones’ passing either. She’s dished four dimes in three of her past four outings, and I’d bet this Over up to 13.5 tonight.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Sun are the ideal opponent for any elite rebounder — they average just 75.9 ppg, second-lowest in the league, and they’re shooting a miserable 25.8% from 3-point range, which ranks dead last.

Liberty vs Sun same-game parlay

An overmatched Connecticut offense should provide plenty of misses for Jones to vacuum up here, and she’s put together five straight games with nine or more rebounds. Pencil her in for No 6.

This SGP also taps into Satou Sabally’s growing role with the Liberty. She’s looked more like herself in her past two outings, including a 13-point effort in Saturday’s victory over the Indiana Fever, and Sabally should be able to bump up her numbers tonight against a Sun defense that allowed the depleted Chicago Sky to rack up 85 points on Friday.

I’ll also lay the double-digit spread without any hesitation. New York is 4-0 against the spread in its last four contests, while Connecticut is 2-4 ATS in its past six outings and an alarming 2-10 straight up this season.

Liberty vs Sun SGP (+400)

  • Jonquel Jones Over 8.5 rebounds
  • Satou Sabally Over 12.5 points
