After losing in the final minute of Tuesday’s closeout Game 2, the Las Vegas Aces will look to bounce back and punch their ticket to the semifinals with a home win over the Seattle Storm on Thursday, September 18.

All good things must come to an end, right?
The Las Vegas Aces’ 17-game win streak was snapped on Tuesday as Seattle “stormed” back to take Game 2 with a decisive 25-14 fourth quarter.
Up four with just 64 seconds left on the clock, Skylar Diggins and Dominique Malonga combined to score seven straight and deliver a crucial victory.
Las Vegas won 102-77 in Game 1 and if not for a fourth-quarter collapse in Game 2, they would already have their tickets punched for the semis. The Aces finished with a better FG% in Game 2, but the Seattle Storm held the advantage in 3-point makes and, most importantly, turnovers.
Las Vegas lost the turnover battle 15-10, and Seattle outscored its opponent 16-4 in fast break points.
The Aces have been on an historic run, and they understandably let their feet off the gas in the final frame of Tuesday’s loss. Playing in front of the home crowd with a trip to the semifinals on the line, I expect a comfortable win for the Aces as they bounce back from Tuesday’s miscues.

Rather than focus on A’ja Wilson, I’m turning my attention to two other Aces who have been playing stellar basketball.
Jackie Young has averaged 30.9 PRA across her last eight games, hitting the Over on this line seven times. She’s gone for at least 27 PRA in both playoff games and in both regular season home matchups with Seattle.
Jewell Loyd continues to get it done from beyond the arc, as she’s hit at least three triples in four straight games. In six matchups with Seattle, she’s hit at least that many 3-pointers five times, including all three matchups at home.
Loyd’s 3-pointers line is set at 1.5 for odds of -205, but I’ll ride the hot hand and bet the alt line of 2.5 for plus money.
