The WNBA All-Star Break is already over. For the players, that quick turnaround may not be ideal, but it is great news for us fans and bettors.

A five-game slate welcomes this return to action, including an eye-catching matchup between the Indiana Fever and the New York Liberty.

These WNBA picks for Tuesday, July 22, start with that matchup but are not focused on the superstar you may expect.

WNBA player prop bets for July 22

  • Fever Boston Under 7.5 rebounds (-115)
  • Lynx Williams Under 14.5 points (-110)
  • Sparks Plum Over 2.5 3-pointers (+130)

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Aliyah Boston Under 7.5 rebounds (-115 at Caesars)

The New York Liberty struggled without Jonquel Jones, stumbling to a 5-5 outright record while she was sidelined with her second ankle sprain of this season. Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu enjoyed more headlines, but Jones is perhaps the most crucial piece to New York’s success.

She is not listed on the injury report at all tonight, rather clearly saying she will return to action. Yet, bookmakers did not list her props through Tuesday morning. Without that chance, a corresponding angle can be found.

Aliyah Boston is Indiana’s best rebounder, along with Natasha Howard. Their totals should be most directly impacted by Jones’s return.

Boston has already fallen short of this prop in five straight games and in seven of her last eight. Trying to box out Jones is not the best way to change that trend.

Courtney Williams Under 14.5 points (-110 at BetMGM)

Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman were the stars of All-Star Weekend.

The duo brought joy and chaos to a 72-hour live stream that showed a side of the WNBA too often forgotten.

Every pundit or lazy social media account that talks about the anger in the WNBA is merely telling you they did not pay any attention to All-Star Weekend; if they had, they would have seen the delight across the league emphasized by Williams and Hiedeman.

Human nature should bring an obvious comedown from that. Being “on” for 72 hours is a massive toll, particularly when factoring in how much of that time was partying.

Williams did the WNBA a favor, her natural charisma turning the weekend into a massive social outing. And now she may do another one, too worn out to star already.

She fell short of this prop in two of her last four games before the All-Star Break, including in one against these same Chicago Sky.

Kelsey Plum Over 2.5 3-pointers (+130 at FanDuel)

Let’s ignore Friday’s 3-point contest, when Kelsey Plum fell short in the first round. Grabbing and shooting from a ball rack bears little resemblance to the looks you take against a live defense.

She cleared this prop in the four games before the All-Star Break, three of which came against the top three defenses in opponent 3-point percentage, including against the Mystics.

Defenses like Washington’s and Minnesota’s force bad looks, but for someone like Plum, there is not really such a thing as a bad look. Thus, she hit 3-of-5 threes against the Mystics a week ago.

At plus-money, this is a delightful price. Washington’s defense might demand that respect, but Plum’s brazenness counters that.

Douglas Farmer spends his days thinking about college football and his nights thinking about the NBA. His betting habits and coverage follow that same pattern. He covered Notre Dame football for various outlets from 2008 to 2024, most notably spending eight seasons as NBC Sports’ beat writer on the Irish. That was also when his gambling focus took off. Knowing there were veteran beat writers with three decades more experience than he had, Douglas found his niche by best recognizing Notre Dame’s standing in each year’s national landscape, a complex tapestry most easily understood and remembered via betting odds.

In 2021, that interest created a freelance opportunity with Covers, a role that eventually led to Douglas joining the company full-time in 2023. In the fall, Douglas will place five or six dozen bets each week, a disproportionate amount via BetRivers because the operator tends to have lines slightly different than the rest of the market. The same can be said of Circa Sports’ futures markets.

While Douglas is an avid NBA fan and covers the league throughout the year, the vast majority of his bets are on college football, because that is the biggest key to sports betting: Know what you do not know.
