As the Minnesota Lynx pay a visit to the Chicago Sky, expect Napheesa Collier to break out of her slump to bring a spark back to her scoring abilities.

Saturday’s two-game WNBA slate kicks off at 1pm ET when the Minnesota Lynx visit the Chicago Sky and concludes at 4pm ET when the Las Vegas Aces host the Golden State Valkyries.

My favorite player props for Saturday’s small slate count on a bounce-back performance from the W’s leading scorer and strong performances from a pair of Valkyries.

Let's take a look into my WNBA picks and player props for Saturday, July 12.

WNBA player prop bets for July 12

  • Lynx Collier Over 21.5 points (-125)
  • Valkyries Thornton Over 14.5 points (-120)
  • Valkyries Burton Over 19.5 points, rebounds, & assists (-125)

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Napheesa Collier Over 21.5 points (-125 at bet365)

Napheesa Collier is averaging a career-best 23.5 points per game this season, but she’s been in a slump over her last three games. In that span, Collier has averaged just 18.7 points while shooting 0-of-14 from beyond the arc.

Collier has failed to score 22 points in three straight games after doing so in 12 of her first 15. She scored just 21 against the Chicago Sky when she faced them last week, but a bounce-back performance is in order.

The Sky have turned things up on offense as of late, but the team is still among the worst in the WNBA in defensive rating, points per game and three-point percentage allowed.

Kayla Thornton Over 14.5 points (-120 at bet365)

Kayla Thornton leads the Golden State Valkyries in scoring with a career-high 15.1 points per game. She’s picked it up in the scoring department over her last 12 outings, averaging 17 points in that span and hitting the Over on this line nine times.

Thornton has knocked down 2.5 triples on 34.9% shooting from beyond the arc during her 12-game heater.

Thornton has scored 15 or more points in four of her last five on the road, and she dropped 22 against the Las Vegas Aces in her first meeting with them this season.

The Aces have allowed the fifth-most points and sixth-highest three-point percentage to opponents this season, making this a favorable matchup for Thornton.

Veronica Burton Over 19.5 points, rebounds, & assists (-125 at bet365)

Veronica Burton has been a swiss army knife for Golden State this season, averaging 10.8 points, four rebounds and 5.3 assists, good for 20.1 PRA. She’s hit the Over on this line in nine of 19 contests, providing exactly 19 in two more.

She’s posted 20 or more PRA in two straight and three of her last four. Burton hit the mark solely with points in her last game out, going for 21/8/6 in a blowout win over the Fever.

Burton finished with a 14/7/12 line against Las Vegas in her first matchup with the Aces, and she’s in a great position to post another strong line. She’s averaged 23.1 PRA across her last three on the road.
