Lynx vs Dream Predictions, Picks, Odds for Tonight’s WNBA Game

The Lynx finish a back-to-back set after a thrilling upset win over the Liberty on Saturday by taking on the Dream in Atlanta. However this shakes out, our betting picks see another massive game in Napheesa Collier's near future.

The Minnesota Lynx are off to a fast start this season but tonight’s visit to the well-rested Atlanta Dream will test their playoff credentials.

Minnesota climbed to 3-1 after a statement 84-67 win in yesterday’s early tip against the New York Liberty and is the favorite here in the latest WNBA odds while our Lynx vs. Dream predictions expect a big game from Napheesa Collier. The Dream haven’t played since Tuesday’s 83-78 victory over the Dallas Wings, so will it be rest or rust?

I dig into that question and more in my free WNBA picks for this May 26 showdown.

Lynx vs Dream predictions

My best bet
Napheesa Collier Over 22.5 points (-108 at FanDuel)

My analysis

The Minnesota Lynx’s high ceiling this year is all about Napheesa Collier’s growth in her sixth WNBA season. Coming off an impressive 2023 — 21.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg — she’s poised to jump past those numbers this season.

The Collier matchup is the big challenge facing the Atlanta Dream here, with Minnesota boasting enough secondary scorers to prevent double teams, and I’m taking the Over on the Collier points prop for tonight’s showdown.

Put simply, I’m buying Collier’s red-hot form through Minnesota’s first four games. Though she had a slight dip in scoring yesterday against the Liberty, Collier still fired up 16 shots, and she had more eye-popping numbers in Thursday’s overtime loss to the Connecticut Sun, where she scored 31 points on 13-for-23 shooting.

Collier is only shooting 25% from deep so far this season, but she does her damage in the mid-range, as she showed while scoring over Breanna Stewart in New York on Saturday. She’s shooting 48% from the field overall and getting to the free-throw line five times a night.

With this being the second game of a back-to-back set, I expect the Lynx to lean heavily on Collier’s offense, providing the type of volume that keeps the Over in play.

This O/U is below her season scoring average and I’m banking on Collier to dominate early and often.

Lynx vs Dream same-game parlay (SGP)

Naoheesa Collier Over 22.5 points

Napheesa Collier Over 9.5 rebounds

Lynx moneyline

Sticking with Collier, I’m adding the Over on her rebounds prop. Her ability to clean the glass belies her height at 6-foot-1, and her numbers on the boards have been even steadier than her scoring this season.

Collier has grabbed at least nine rebounds in all four outings, with 11 or more in three of those. Tina Charles brings a paint presence for Atlanta, but the Dream are allowing 36 rebounds per game, the fourth-worst mark in the league.

After pulling down 12 boards to contain the Liberty yesterday, I’m picking Collier to be similarly effective here.

I also like the Lynx moneyline, even with the fatigue factor counting against the visitors. Minnesota brings a balanced offense, with four of its five starters posting double-digit points last time out. Alanna Smith and Kayla McBride are the perfect co-stars next to Collier, positioning the Lynx to outduel Charles and Rhyne Howard.

But it was the Minnesota defense that stood out yesterday, holding New York to 67 points, including just 27 points in the second half.

  • Spread: Minnesota +4.5 (-115) | Atlanta -4.5 (-105)
  • Moneyline: Minnesota +155 | Atlanta -185
  • Over/Under: Over 164.5 (-110) | Under 164.5 (-110)

Lynx vs Dream spread and Over/Under analysis

  • The Lynx are worth a look as underdogs here, going 4-0 ATS so far this year, and 6-2 ATS in their last eight contests on the second night of back-to-back sets.
  • The Dream enter with a 2-1 record but those two wins came against the injury-ravaged Wings and a subpar Los Angeles Sparks team — and they’re 1-7 ATS in their last eight games against teams with a winning record.
  • Though the Under is 6-0 in the hosts’ last six Sunday games, I prefer the Over, which is 7-3 in the past 10 meetings between these teams and 5-1 in the last six matchups in Atlanta.
  • This upstart Minnesota team has scored 82 points or more in each of its outings in 2024, and that consistency should keep the O/U line of 167.5 within reach.
