Caitlin Clark is set to rejoin the Indiana Fever lineup for the first time since late May — and this isn’t just any comeback. She’s returning just in time for a high-stakes showdown against the 9-0 New York Liberty, the same team she suffered a quad injury against in their last meeting.

Our Liberty vs. Fever betting preview sees this one boiling down to a marquee duel: Clark vs. Breanna Stewart. With Stewart aiming to bounce back from a subpar showing in their previous matchup, and Clark possibly playing with a chip on her shoulder, all signs point to a must-watch clash — and a prime opportunity for bettors.

Let's get into why the two superstars are the focus of my Liberty vs. Fever predictions and WNBA picks for Saturday, June 14.

Will Caitlin Clark play today?

Yes, Caitlin Clark is set to make her return since May 24, where she coincidentally played against the New York Liberty and suffered a quad strain.

After taking much precaution to not rush herself back into the lineup, the Indiana Fever get their star back after missing the past five games. The next question is: Will Clark be able to pick up where she left off?

Liberty vs Fever predictions

My Liberty vs Fever best bet: Breanna Stewart Over 19.5 points (-108 at FanDuel)

When these two teams met on May 24, it was chaotic to say the least. Caitlin Clark suffered an injury, the Indiana Fever rallied in the third quarter, and the New York Liberty remained unshaken to squeeze out a narrow 90-88 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Well, here we are again just a few weeks later, and this time around just may be even more intense.

With big games from Jonquel Jones (who is a game-time decision today) and Natasha Cloud, the Liberty's championship caliber prevailed despite a 4-for-11 showing from Breanna Stewart that day.

Don't get me wrong, Stewie delivered down the stretch where it was needed after going 8-for-10 from the free throw line to seal the deal. But if Jones isn't able to join the Liberty lineup this time around or play at the level she's known for, then more is going to be required from Stewie & Co. to keep this unbeaten flow alive.

Stewie banked in 16 points in her last meeting against the Fever. That just won't cut it today.

In what was nearly their first loss of the season, Stewie and Sabrina Ionescu combined for 39% shooting from the field. Not ideal for the one-two punch. Stewie also missed every 3-point attempt made in that matchup.

Given Stewie's experience, we know that that performance looms in her head enough to come with the heat in Round 2 against Indiana. If the Liberty want to stay unbeaten, bet on Stewart to have a well-rounded game with efficiency to go for the Over on her points prop.

Caitlin Clark prediction

My Caitlin Clark best bet: Caitlin Clark Over 18.5 points (-102 at FanDuel)

The Caitlin Clark experience is here once again and the Indiana Fever couldn't be happier, I'm sure. After going 2-3 in her absence, the Fever will try to get their revenge by spoiling the Liberty's 9-0 start.

The Fever can push the best of the best to their limits, which was exactly what was shown when they last saw the defending champs. Clark went for 18 points on 6-for-18 shooting. Not too shabby, but if the Fever want to actually knock off the Libs this time, then Clark will have to kick it into another gear.

This being her first game back, Clark's health will be under the microscope to see if she's actually back to 100%. Given the extra game that she was sidelined for and the possible return of Sophie Cunningham as well, Clark is in prime position to get her lick back with a huge "I'm back!" performance. And no better way to do that than handing New York their first loss of the season and going off on the Over for a 20+ point showing.

Liberty vs Fever same-game parlay (SGP)

Breanna Stewart Over 19.5 points

Caitlin Clark Over 18.5 points

Natasha Cloud Over 8.5 points

We've gotten into the forces of nature that Stewart and Clark can be for their respective teams, and how their performances can be the deciding factor on who walks away with a win today. But it was Natasha Cloud who delivered in every way possible with big defensive plays (five steals), clutch shots (16 points on 5-for-9 shooting), and finding her teammates (six assists) in moments where it mattered most in the Liberty's latest head-to-head win.

Throughout New York's stellar start, Cloud can proudly say that she has been a huge part of their success.

With Cloud bringing the energy even when the Liberty get stuck in a rut, I bank her doing that again with the Over on her points prop. Cloud thrives when the pressure is on, and this time will be no different.
