Riding a four-game win streak, the Phoenix Mercury still have a chance to claim the No. 2 seed as they host the Indiana Fever tonight at PHX Arena.

Indiana is fighting for a playoff spot as well, but my Fever vs. Mercury prediction favors a healthier Phoenix squad pulling away late.

Fever vs Mercury predictions

My Fever vs Mercury best betKahleah Copper Over 15.5 points (-118 at FanDuel)

The Phoenix Mercury won’t be backing down from anyone in the 2025 postseason. While the Las Vegas Aces have grabbed most of the WNBA headlines lately with 12 straight wins, Phoenix finished August with a 6-1 run and some dominant stretches of two-way basketball.

I’m focusing on the Mercury offense for my best bet tonight against the depleted Indiana Fever. Kahleah Copper has been at the heart of the hosts’ steady scoring, and this points prop Over offers nice value, given her impressive recent numbers.

Copper led the way with 22 points, including five triples, in Phoenix’s victory over the New York Liberty on Saturday, and she was even better earlier in the week against the Chicago Sky, dropping a 28-point gem on her former team.

In fact, Copper has nailed this Over in five of her last seven contests, and she ended up with 22 points against the Fever back in July.

That’s exactly what the Mercury need from their star guard as we approach the business end of the season. Alyssa Thomas is more comfortable in a playmaking role, so the spotlight will be on Copper and Satou Sabally to make enough buckets to propel Phoenix on a deep run.

With Indiana’s injury list taking some key defenders off the board for this matchup, including Sophie Cunningham, look for Copper to cash in.

Fever vs Mercury same-game parlay (SGP)

Kahleah Copper Over 15.5 points

Mercury -7

Aliyah Boston Over 14.5 points

With the Fever limping to the finish line, the Mercury’s depth should tilt the scales tonight, so I’m laying the points with the hosts, who are 14-6 at PHX Arena this year.

Phoenix handed out a 95-60 thumping in the last matchup with Indiana and, though it’s hard to imagine a repeat of that victory margin, the visitors will struggle to match the Mercury’s A-game here.

The scoring limitations in this Fever rotation also mean a bigger burden for Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell to carry.

Boston is coming off a quiet outing against the Golden State Valkyries at the weekend, but she went past the 20-point mark in her two prior contests and has a pathway to 15+ points again tonight.
