The latest UFC Fight Night card heads to Paris on Saturday, and the headline event will be a clash between Caio Borralho and Nassourdine Imavov.
This could serve as a title eliminator between the No. 2-ranked middleweight contender in Imavov and the No. 7-ranked Borralho.
UFC odds opened with Imavov as a -150 favorite, but money has come in on Borralho, who is now the slight fave at -130.
Here are my best free UFC Fight Night: Imavov vs. Borralho predictions for September 6 from the Accor Arena.
Imavov vs Borralho prediction and best bet
- My fight prediction: Imavov moneyline (+100 at BET99)
- My best bet: Fight to go the distance - Yes (-180 at BET99)
Fight analysis
Imavov has won seven of his last eight fights, with his only loss during that span coming by decision on short notice (at light heavyweight) against former middleweight champion Sean Strickland.
Meanwhile, Ciao Borralho has gone 17-1 in his career, including a perfect 7-0 record in the UFC.
The best win in Borralho's career came by decision in his previous fight against Jared Cannonier in 2024. Imavov had a more impressive victory against Cannonier last year, and he followed that up by knocking out former champ Israel Adesanya.
It's clear that Imavov is the cleaner and more technical striker. Borralho likes to throw overhands, and Imavov will be able to counter those since he has very good timing with his short hooks.
Borralho is the superior grappler, but Imavov has solid wrestling in his back pocket and displayed impressive takedown defense against Brendan Allen last year.
In what should be a close fight, I'll lean toward the Frenchman at plus money.
Best bet analysis
The "Fight to go the Distance" prop opened at -145 and has been bet up to -180, but it still has value at this number.
Five of Borralho's last seven fights have gone the distance. His only knockout during that span came against Chinny Paul Craig, while he submitted Michal Oleksiejczuk, who has terrible defensive grappling.
Likewise, four of Imavov's previous six bouts have gone the distance, and one of those finishes was a fourth-round TKO of Cannonier that many thought was an early stoppage.
When it comes down to sheer power, neither fighter has death-touch knockout ability, and both are durable. With odds at nearly a pick'em, this should be a close fight that goes to the judges' cards.
