This bout should be fun for MMA fans as a pair of entertaining strikers face off in what is expected to be a sendoff for Silva, who is considered one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. That said, oddsmakers don't expect to see Silva retire with a win, installing him as a +184 underdog while Hall comes back at -230.

Hall vs Silva betting preview

Uriah "Primetime" Hall enters this fight No. 9 in the middleweight rankings after defeating Antônio Carlos Júnior via split decision in September of 2019.

Hall is 3-1 in his last four fights, with his lone defeat in that span coming against Paulo Costa. He's an explosive striker with a background in karate and five of his last six wins — plus each of his last three defeats — have been by knockout.

Anderson "The Spider" Silva is an MMA great who held the UFC middleweight title for an incredible 2,457 days from 2006-2013. That said, the 45-year-old is just 1-6 in his last eight fights with one of those bouts ruled no-contest after he tested positive for PEDs.

Silva's last fight came in May of 2019 against Jared Cannonier and he lost via TKO in the first round after an inside leg kick dropped him to the mat.

Silva is still a dangerous striker both in the clinch and at range, but time has robbed him of his speed and once-legendary movement.

Hall vs Silva UFC predictions and betting picks

PREDICTION: Hall to win (-230) - As much as I'd like to see Silva retire with a victory, I don't see that happening against a decent fighter like Hall. Both fighters are pure strikers and make good use of kicks but Silva doesn't have the ability to make opponents miss as he could a decade ago.

Keep in mind that Silva only has one win since 2013, a decision victory over Derek Brunson 45 months ago, and that result was a tad questionable with 20 of 24 members of the media scoring the fight in favor of Brunson.

Hall is an excellent kickboxer that lands 3.43 significant strikes per minute with an accuracy of 51 percent. Look for him to do enough damage against the much older Silva to pull off the win.

PREDICTION: Hall to win by KO/TKO (+200) - Despite being an accomplished karateka, Hall hasn't always been the most technical striker (although he has become more polished in recent years) but his power has always been impressive.  Hall is an explosive and dynamic fighter that has knockout power in both his hands and feet.

Five of Hall's last six wins have come by knockout and he isn't afraid to throw his hands, even against dangerous opponents like Costa and Robert Whittaker. Back him to seek out a stoppage against Silva.

PREDICTION: Fight to go Under 4.5 rounds (-120) -An optimist might look at Silva's last six fights, notice that five of them went the distance and think we'll get to see an epic showdown on Halloween.

A realist will point out that only two of those bouts occurred within the last three and a half years,:the TKO against Cannonier and a bout against current champ Israel Adesanya. And Izzy seemed more intent on putting on a show against his childhood hero than going for a kill shot.

Only one of Hall's last six fights went past the midway point of Round 3, so don't expect this fight to drag on.
