Fili vs Mitchell betting preview
Andre "Touchy" Fili is coming off a split decision win over Charles Jourdain in June. That victory allowed him to bounce back from a loss to Sodiq Yusuff earlier this year and gives him a record of 5-2 over his last seven fights.
Despite being just 30 years old, Fili has been fighting professionally since 2009 and made his UFC debut all the way back in 2013.
Fili is a dangerous striker with pop in his punches and has a high work rate, combined with excellent conditioning. He's also more than capable as a wrestler, averaging 2.49 takedowns per 15 minutes, and has good takedown defense.
Bryce “Thug Nasty” Mitchell enters this fight as the No. 15-ranked featherweight in the UFC. The 26-year-old is fresh off a dominant decision victory over Charles Rosa in May.
Mitchell is 13-0 in his career, although some sites credit him for an official loss in an exhibition match against Brad Katonia at The Ultimate Fighter in 2018.
With a background in BJJ and wrestling, Mitchell is a grappling specialist that began his MMA career with eight consecutive wins via submission. He doesn't need to pull off a submission to get a victory however, with excellent control and vicious ground and pound also in his arsenal.

PREDICTION: Fight to go the distance - yes (-122) - If you forced me to pick a winner for this fight I would probably lean towards Mitchell, but at -172 against a more experienced opponent (and arguably better stand-up striker) in Fili I'm not in love with those odds. There is superior betting value in taking this prop pick instead.
While Fili does have power, he only has one knockout victory across ten bouts since 2016. Eight of his last nine fights have gone the distance.
Although many of Mitchell's earlier career fights were won by first-round finishes, stoppages don't come quite so easily against UFC competition.
