This total is simply too tall, and I'd be comfortable playing the Under 6 to -105 if this line vanishes. Columbus has recorded 20 or fewer shots in three of its last four games. Carolina has been much busier offensively during a 6-2 SU run, but is still 6-2 to the Under in its last eight. This head-to-head has also seen the Under prevail three times in a four-game span.

This prop is in play up to 47% because Brandsegg-Nygard is skating in a go-to role alongside Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond at five-on-five, and the trio tilted the ice in their favor to the tune of a 66.3 CF% and 74.3 xGF%. Brandsegg-Nygard has also picked up eight points across seven home games, and the Blackhawks have surrendered the third-most goals per game and expected goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5.

The Dallas Stars are 10-2 to the Under this season, rank in the bottom third of hockey in expected goals for/60, and sit inside the top five in xGA/60. Today, they get a neutered Montreal Canadiens offense that's finding ways to win but playing tight, low-scoring games without Nick Suzuki. Montreal won't have its preferred option in net in Jacob Fowler, but that shouldn't be a huge issue against a Stars team with the eighth-worst scoring offense in hockey and the 21st-ranked power play. If you're looking for the best Under today, this is it by a mile. Getting plus money is surprising, as I have the Under 5.5 closer to 52%. The Stars haven't had a closing total higher than 5.5 in eight straight games.
Zachary Bolduc o0.5 Goals Scored (+425)
With Ivan Demidov and captain Nick Suzuki still sidelined, the Canadiens have promoted the two-time QMJHL 50-goal scorer to the team's top power-play unit.
Bolduc is tied with Suzuki for second on the Habs in goals (5), notched a power-play tally a game ago, and ranks in the 72nd percentile in higher-danger shots among forwards. The former St. Louis Blue is also in the 76th percentile among all skaters for maximum skating speed, so the motor has certainly been there.

Cutter Gauthier leads the Ducks with 59 shot attempts and 28 shots on target over his last nine games.
He didn't convert once during that span but, clearly, it was not for a lack of opportunity.
The Buffalo Sabres sit 28th in save percentage and have really struggled to kill penalties. That’ll help Gauthier’s cause.

As with all moneyline odds, the team with the minus sign (-) is the favorite, while the side with the plus sign (+) is the underdog.
Betting $100 on Edmonton at -130 would net you $176 in winnings if they win the game, $76 of profit plus your initial $100 wager. Conversely, if you bet on Florida and they win, you get $210: $110 in profit plus your initial $100 bet.
The puck line is the NHL's version of the spread, where each team is given a certain number of goals to either win or lose by. Unlike the NFL or the NBA, the NHL spread doesn't typically change from 1.5 for each side. The spread is designed to make betting on the favorite more enticing.

The favorite, Edmonton at -1.5, would need to win by at least two goals for the bet to cash. If Edmonton wins by two or more goals, in other words, "covers the bet," you'd get $191 in winnings instead of $176 by taking them on the moneyline.
There are two ways for the underdog, Florida at +1.5, to "cover" a +1.5 puck line bet. They can lose by a single goal or win outright to cash. The odds are shorter, but you have options on this bet.
With a total bet, you're wagering on the total number of goals scored by both teams. You aren't backing any single side to win.
