The added responsibility and uptick in volume should serve him well against the Lightning. They’re playing in a road back-to-back, which means Andrei Vasilevskiy will get the night off. Backups generally start the second leg, making it no coincidence the Lightning have allowed 3.67 goals per game in the back half of B2B’s.

I can't pick either team straight-up. The Rangers are terrible, especially at home (9-17-7), and the Senators are favored too heavily for there to be much value. So, I'll bank on the Under (you can do so without the security blanket at 5.5 for plus money if you so choose) because Igor Shesterkin will be back between the pipes after Dylan Garand made his NHL debut on Sunday. For as well as the Sens have played, they've come in Under 6 goals in six of their last 10.
