Mr. Saturday Night has turned his attention to Sunday. Kyle Connor is the Jets' goal scorer, but Cole Caufield is the biggest name who can bury one on the big stage. The Jets rank in the bottom half of the league in expected goals against, and Montreal can flirt with four goals despite the loss of Suzuki. It might be the most bet-on AGS of the day, but the NHL wants Caufield to score, and both top lines are finding the scoresheet. Caufield has accounted for 18% of Montreal's goals this season, which is exactly where his goal share finished last year after scoring 51.
Oliver Kapanen o0.5 Points (+104)
Oliver Kapanen is getting top-line minutes with the Nick Suzuki injury and shouldn't be priced longer than 50% to record a point. He played over 15 minutes in his last game, his first in the new role, but Montreal used its fourth line more than usual against the Blackhawks. That 15 minutes could easily turn into 17 tonight. He's centering Juraj Slafkovsky and Mr. Saturday Night himself, Cole Caufield, who will have to transform into Mr. Sunday for this one. This is simply a mispriced point prop for a player getting a significant upgrade in offensive opportunity.

Cale Makar started the year with six shot attempts or fewer in four straight games. He has since attempted 7+ shots in five of the past six, helping him clear 2.5 shots on target four times.
Makar is somewhat a rover but a lot of his shots come from the right point. That’s certainly a plus in this matchup as the Nashville Predators sit 31st in shots allowed to that shooting zone.

The 29-year-old is tied with Leon Draisaitl for the league lead in goals, and he's scoring at more than double the rate of anyone else in this game. He's the only player to have scored in at least 50% of games since the start of last season, and he faces the worst defensive team in the NHL tonight.

Hronek hasn't recorded more than two shots on goal in a game since April.
He has just 11 shots through 12 games and has been held shotless in three straight games despite playing over 24 minutes in each. He's been limited to one or less in six straight and in 10 of 12 this season. To make matters worse for the Czech, he's up against a Wild team that ranks 10th in shots allowed. He's also mired in a 25-game goalless drought, and this isn't an encouraging matchup for the defenseman to turn the tide.

As with all moneyline odds, the team with the minus sign (-) is the favorite, while the side with the plus sign (+) is the underdog.

The puck line is the NHL's version of the spread, where each team is given a certain number of goals to either win or lose by. Unlike the NFL or the NBA, the NHL spread doesn't typically change from 1.5 for each side. The spread is designed to make betting on the favorite more enticing.

The favorite, Edmonton at -1.5, would need to win by at least two goals for the bet to cash. If Edmonton wins by two or more goals, in other words, "covers the bet," you'd get $191 in winnings instead of $176 by taking them on the moneyline.
There are two ways for the underdog, Florida at +1.5, to "cover" a +1.5 puck line bet. They can lose by a single goal or win outright to cash. The odds are shorter, but you have options on this bet.
With a total bet, you're wagering on the total number of goals scored by both teams. You aren't backing any single side to win.
