The Philadelphia Flyers are on the second half of a back-to-back and are being heavily discounted because of it, but this offense can score, and Jamie Drysdale is playing big minutes and getting PP1 time. He has points in three straight games, including two power-play points, and gets a Washington team that could be without its top goalie in Logan Thompson, who wasn't sharp before the injury. The Flyers actually rank better than Washington in expected goals against/60 at all strengths this season, despite losing nine straight games out of the gate. Washington is an overvalued team in the market, in my opinion, and I'd play this to 47%.

It's pretty simple here: the Philadelphia Flyers are downright awful, owning a league-worst -17 goal differential and second-worst expected goals against mark. This is all while averaging just 1.93 goals per game. This Washington Capitals team has been serviceable for bettors this year, and are coming into tonight winners of three of their last four.

He’s remained dangerous with 1.53 individual expected goals and nine high-danger scoring chances during the six-game stretch, so I’d recommend him to find the back of the net up to 36% tonight.

The Russian winger is thriving in a go-to role alongside superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, with the trio on the ice for an elite 7.82 goals per 60 minutes.

Colorado won all six home games following two days off last season, and is 2/2 to start this year.
Jake Allen has not played all that well to date, allowing 3.2 goals more than expected through seven appearances. Colorado should get to him.

We're getting a game between two of the best Over teams in hockey; we're not going to go against the grain here. The Toronto Maple Leafs are still struggling defensively, owning the third-worst exepected goals against mark in the league at five-on-five, with the Seattle Kraken not far behind, sitting in fifth at even strength. The matchup that really tilts the ice in Toronto's favor - and could open the floodgates offensively - is the Leafs' fifth-ranked power play against a Seattle penalty kill operating at a dreadful 70.6%. If the Kraken can't stay out of the penalty box, this could get ugly in a hurry.

The top-line winger has a big opportunity today. He's already recorded points in four straight games and eight of his last 11, but a potential Kirill Marchenko injury could bump him up to the top power-play unit, which gets a favourable matchup against Seattle's 27th-ranked penalty kill. The Kraken also rank 29th in expected goals against/60, so even if Marchenko plays, I still love this price. He's been a great stack with Easton Cowan, who is available at 3x today and is also on my card. He played nearly 19 minutes last game, including time on PP1. This is another mispriced top-line winger in a matchup that smells like another Over for the Leafs, who are 9-5 to the Over this season. If he goes to PP1, this should be a 61% point prop.

As with all moneyline odds, the team with the minus sign (-) is the favorite, while the side with the plus sign (+) is the underdog.
Betting $100 on Edmonton at -130 would net you $176 in winnings if they win the game, $76 of profit plus your initial $100 wager. Conversely, if you bet on Florida and they win, you get $210: $110 in profit plus your initial $100 bet.
The puck line is the NHL's version of the spread, where each team is given a certain number of goals to either win or lose by. Unlike the NFL or the NBA, the NHL spread doesn't typically change from 1.5 for each side. The spread is designed to make betting on the favorite more enticing.

The favorite, Edmonton at -1.5, would need to win by at least two goals for the bet to cash. If Edmonton wins by two or more goals, in other words, "covers the bet," you'd get $191 in winnings instead of $176 by taking them on the moneyline.
There are two ways for the underdog, Florida at +1.5, to "cover" a +1.5 puck line bet. They can lose by a single goal or win outright to cash. The odds are shorter, but you have options on this bet.
With a total bet, you're wagering on the total number of goals scored by both teams. You aren't backing any single side to win.
