The Cincinnati Bengals can clinch the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL draft with a loss to the host Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Cincinnati is two games clear of Miami, Washington and the New York Giants - who play each other Sunday - for the worst record in the league, and Dolphins coach Brian Flores has made it clear that his club won't be lying down.

"I don’t know whose narrative that is," Flores told reporters about tanking. "Like I’ve said all year, try to win every game. That’s kind of my thought process." The Bengals' path to the top pick may be a little easier if running back Joe Mixon - a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday with a calf injury - cannot play or isn't 100 percent. Miami quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been running for his life lately - he leads the team in rushing - while being sacked 30 times in the last eight games. Flores said he will stick with his 37-year-old over Josh Rosen, 22, telling reporters: "I think that is in the best interest of this team. So I think this is, philosophically, I think people are going to feel differently about it."

ABOUT THE BENGALS (1-13): Mixon has rushed for 282 yards in his last two games and is 75 shy of his second straight 1,000-yard season. Andy Dalton sat for three games as Cincinnati took a look at rookie Ryan Finley but Dalton returned three games ago to engineer a 22-6 victory over the New York Jets. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap had six tackles, a sack, forced fumble and pass defended in last week's 34-13 loss to New England, and has five sacks and five PDs in his last four contests.

ABOUT THE DOLPHINS (3-11): Fitzpatrick has thrown 12 touchdown passes against seven interceptions in his last eight games, totaling 279 yards and two TDs in a 36-20 loss at the New York Giants last week. DeVante Parker (eight TD receptions this season), who scored twice last week, has 20 receptions for 294 yards and two TDs in his last two home games, and is 46 yards away from his first 1,000-yard season. Tight end Mike Gesicki is Fitzpatrick's second-most popular target with 41 catches with his first two career TDs coming in the last four weeks.

EXTRA POINTS

1. Dalton has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 11 straight games versus the AFC East.

2. Fitzpatrick has rushed for 219 yards and is one of three quarterbacks leading his team in rushing along with Baltimore's Lamar Jackson and Arizona's Kyler Murray.

3. The Bengals have won the last two meetings, including 27-17 last season with Dalton throwing a touchdown pass to Mixon and Cincinnati scoring on a punt return and a fumble return.
