The Texas A&M coaching staff will get a chance to see if the No. 24 Aggies learned from their late-game mistakes last week when FCS opponent Prairie View A&M visits Saturday. The Aggies lost a 15-point lead to UCLA but regrouped for an overtime win.

"We showed people we're capable of playing well but we have to do that for 60 minutes," defensive coordinator John Chavis told the media Tuesday. "(The) positive (thing) is we got put in stressful situations and our guys responded well enough for us to get the win and that's important." The Aggie offense struggled to burn the clock late but safety Justin Evans' late interception and OT knockdown helped save the day. The Aggies will continue to work to the strengths of graduate transfer Trevor Knight, who threw for a touchdown and ran for two more in his first start since 2014. The Panthers' aggressive defense and high-scoring offense should hold the Aggies' attention in the first meeting between schools separated by about 50 miles.
