Roughriders 35, Lions 14: Running back Kory Sheets recorded 148 rushing yards and one touchdown as host Saskatchewan cruised to its third straight victory.
Quarterback Darian Durant was 13-for-29 for 187 yards and one touchdown toss to slotback Weston Dressler for the Roughriders (11-5), who clinched home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs and kept pace with the West Division-leading Calgary Stampeders. Defensive backs Carlos Thomas, Craig Butler, Tristan Jackson and Dwight Anderson made interceptions.
Thomas DeMarco completed 13-of-31 passes for 147 yards with two touchdowns for BC (9-7), which has lost three straight and dropped to 3-6 in road games. Slotbacks Nick Moore and Shawn Gore caught touchdown passes.
DeMarco found Moore for 11 yards to open the scoring, but the Roughriders responded with 31 straight points to close the first half. Saskatchewan defensive back Weldon Brown returned a fumble for a touchdown late in the first quarter, while Durant connected with Dressler for 20 yards and Sheets scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
Gore caught a 7-yard pass from DeMarco 6:29 into the third quarter, but DeMarco threw two interceptions in the fourth quarter to stall BC’s comeback attempt. Roughriders kicker Chris Milo made his fourth field goal of the contest with 1:30 remaining, finishing 4-for-5.
