The Storm have opened the scoring in both games so far, so I expect them to look inside early so Malonga can help Seattle establish control around the rim.

Cardoso’s rebounding average jumped to 10.2 per game last year in 14 games without Reese in the frontcourt with her, compared to 7.6 in 26 games alongside Reese. Expect a similar number all season long, one that should breach 11 given her overall development.

The Golden State Valkyries leans heavily on the three, taking a league-high 49.6% of its shots from deep and hitting 40%, but regression could be coming after a 32.5% mark last season and no major shooting upgrades. The Chicago Sky, meanwhile, ranks seventh in opponent 3-point percentage and leads the league in rebounding, allowing them to limit second chances while relying on a balanced offense and top-tier defense to stay competitive on the road.

Two things stood out about the Los Angeles Sparks’ leader’s output. First of all, she played 35 minutes in a 27-point loss. The Sparks do not have a bounty of other options on hand. Secondly, she shot 10-of-18. Plum has not always been the most efficient scorer; finding efficiency could unlock new levels of her offense.
Aliyah Boston First Team Basket (Yes: +300)
Aliyah Boston was also big for Indiana in the opener, dominating inside with 16 of her total 23 points coming inside the paint. That’s bad news for the Sparks’ soft interior. The 6-foot-5 Boston is very active in pick-and-roll with Clark and Mitchell and she’s just as likely to score the first bucket as her fellow superstars.
