Chicago @ Washington picks

The Washington Mystics leading scorer did the complete opposite of being just that against Phoenix with an abysmal 0 points on Sunday. The first zilch performance in her WNBA career. The Chicago Sky are ailing and may be without Angel Reese (back) and leading scorer Ariel Atkins (leg). After Sunday's concerning showing, Brittney Sykes isn't noted to have any injury herself and if that's indeed the case then I'm taking her to lead the Mystics to another victory over the Sky. Sykes scored 32 and 11 points respectively in those first two matchups against the Sky this season and she's known to show up against Chicago which is why I'm take her points prop to comfortably go for the Over tonight for a bounce back.

Angel Reese is considered probable to return tonight from some back frustrations, but even with her in the lineup, faith belongs in the Mystics’ best post presence. The Sky’s defense has slightly improved in the last month … now just No. 10 in the WNBA, about two points better per 100 possessions than earlier in the season. But it is still wretched. Shakira Austin has cleared this prop in three of her last four, still scoring 14 points in the one exception, a blowout that cut into her workload.

This is about where Angel Reese’s prop is in normal times, also available at Under 12.5 with juice around -145. But given Reese has played just one game in the last two weeks while dealing with a back frustration, a minutes limit would not be stunning tonight. She has already fallen short of this prop in her last four games; any limit on Reese’s run tonight should provide further value.
