Ninth-ranked Gonzaga attempts to bounce back from consecutive setbacks when it hosts UT Arlington in Tuesday's non-conference matchup. The Bulldogs won their first nine games of the season before falling to Tennessee on Dec. 8 and North Carolina on Saturday.

Gonzaga has played an arduous slate that includes wins over Duke and Arizona, but the schedule appeared to catch up with the squad in the 103-90 loss to North Carolina. Coach Mark Few stated that he had no regrets with the scheduling, and senior point guard Josh Perkins feels the team is battle-tested and can focus on improving. "We're good, we're right where we want to be," Perkins told reporters after the loss to the Tar Heels. "We're still close to the top. We know we've got some things to fix, and they're all internal things that we can fix. That's good news. We still believe we're the best, and we're going to keep pushing to be the best." UT Arlington has dropped six consecutive games, with three of the losses coming against Indiana, Arkansas and Missouri.

ABOUT UT ARLINGTON (3-7): Brian Warren leads the Mavericks with a 14.9-point average, but fellow junior guard Edric Dennis (14 points) is slated to miss his fourth straight game due to a foot injury. UT Arlington shoots just 25.2 percent from 3-point range and has scored fewer than 70 points in eight straight games against a tough schedule orchestrated by coach Chris Ogden. "It's a tough way to learn, but we'll get there," Ogden told reporters after Saturday's 63-61 road loss to North Texas. "We're paying the price now, but it's going to be worth it, as these moments will build character and give us plenty to learn from moving forward."

ABOUT GONZAGA (9-2): Rui Hachimura experienced his worst shooting performance of the season - a 5-for-14 effort - against North Carolina and matched his season low of 17 points as his team-best average dropped to 21.7. Zach Norvell Jr. (17.9 points) scored 21 points against the Tar Heels and Perkins (11.1) recorded 20 after going 3-for-17 in the previous two games, including a scoreless effort against Tennessee. Brandon Clarke (16.7 points, 7.7 rebounds) has collected 10 or more boards on four occasions but grabbed just three against North Carolina.
