Last Meeting ( Mar 13, 2019 ) Brooklyn 96, Oklahoma City 108

The Brooklyn Nets aim to halt a six-game losing streak when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. The Nets failed to reach 100 points for the third time during the slide when they fell 101-89 to the Orlando Magic on Monday.

Guard Spencer Dinwiddie and forward Joe Harris scored 16 points apiece against host Orlando and were the only Brooklyn players to reach double digits in the contest. It was the fifth double-digit defeat for the Nets during the span, and they allowed more than 120 points in three straight games prior to the Magic barely reaching the century mark. Oklahoma City had a five-game winning streak snapped Monday as it lost 120-113 to the host Philadelphia 76ers for the club's second loss in the past 11 games. "We got stagnant a little bit," Thunder coach Billy Donovan told reporters. "I think we only had 17 assists in the game. Our ball movement in the first half wasn't great. We got to play with more pace."

ABOUT THE THUNDER (20-16): Center Steven Adams was a force for Oklahoma City against the 76ers by scoring a season-high 24 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. "Steven had a monster game, played really, really well," Donovan said. "He's crafty down there. He really played an unbelievable game. He scored the ball and rebounded the ball at a high level." Reserve guard Dennis Schroder scored 21 points for his eighth 20-point outing in the past nine games - and he scored 19 in the other contest.

ABOUT THE NETS (16-19): Brooklyn enters a crucial stretch with four straight home games and seven of eight as it tries to end the dismal skid. The shooting was porous against Orlando as the Nets shot 33.3 percent from the field and were 10-of-47 from 3-point range. "I thought our process was right on offense," Brooklyn coach Kenny Atkinson said afterward. "I thought we got a ton of open 3s. We got to the rim at a high rate. We just didn't make 3s and didn't finish at the rim, so that's a bad combination."

BUZZER BEATERS

1. The Thunder have won the past three meetings and five of the last six.

2. Brooklyn SG Caris LeVert, who recently returned from a thumb injury, was inactive Monday but is slated to play against Oklahoma City.

3. Thunder PG Chris Paul scored 18 points against Philadelphia but is 9-of-25 shooting over the past two games.

PREDICTION: Nets 112, Thunder 108
