The NBA is the gift that keeps on giving, even in the offseason.
The league just released its NBA Christmas Day schedule for the 2025-26 season, and on paper, this is shaping out to be one of the best days of the season.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks open up proceedings in the Garden, while Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks take on Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the Bay Area. The finale sees the Minnesota Timberwolves spending Christmas in the Rocky Mountains, as they take on the Denver Nuggets.

The New York Knicks will be breaking in a new coach this season, with Mike Brown taking over for Tom Thibodeau. While Christmas is well over a month into the season, it'll be interesting to see how the Knicks look under Browns guidance. Remember, this is a team that was a Game 7 win away from reaching the NBA Finals. As for the Cleveland Cavaliers, they'll be eager to make amends for falling flat on their face in the postseason.
San Antonio Spurs at
Oklahoma City Thunder
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
|
+9.5 (-110) | +320 | Over 228.5 (-110) |
|
-9.5 (-110) | -405 | Under 228.5 (-110) |
Whether you think it'll help or not, the fact that Victor Wembanyama is doing everything in his power to stay healthy and become a better player means the San Antonio Spurs may be one to watch this year. Going up against the defending champions on a special night like Christmas is a daunting task, but the league believes the interest for the Spurs is there, which tells me this should be a good game.
Houston Rockets at
Los Angeles Lakers
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
|
+1.5 (-110) | +104 | Over 223.5 (-110) |
|
-1.5 (-110) | -122 | Under 223.5 (-110) |
There's no love lost between these two sides, and with LeBron James entering what could be the final Christmas Day game of his career, you'd be hard-pressed to find a game that will get more eyeballs. The Houston Rockets made a splash in the offseason by acquiring Kevin Durant, so it'll be interesting to see how the dynamic shakes out in H-Town.
Dallas Mavericks at
Golden State Warriors
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
|
+4.5 (-110) | +166 | Over 226.5 (-110) |
|
-4.5 (-110) | -198 | Under 226.5 (-110) |
Cooper Flagg will get his first taste of Christmas Day in the NBA, and it couldn't come against a better team. The Golden State Warriors have been a staple of this marquee game, so perhaps Flagg is in for a baptism by fire. Either way, expect plenty of points in this game if both teams are healthy.
Minnesota Timberwolves at
Denver Nuggets
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
|
+4.5 (-110) | +160 | Over 230.5 (-110) |
|
-4.5 (-110) | -190 | Under 230.5 (-110) |
The Minnesota Timberwolves believe they are knocking at the door of a championship, but they will be tested once again in a stacked Western Conference. With Nikola Jokic still playing some MVP-caliber ball, the Denver Nuggets are poised to better their second-round exit in last year's playoffs.
