The Milwaukee Brewers are sending out right-hander Quinn Priester to start the first game back from the All-Star Break. Although the 24-year-old posted an impressive 3.55 ERA and 3.73 xERA across 17 appearances, this is a tough ask for him on the road at Dodger Stadium. The former first-round pick doesn’t make batters miss with a high rate of frequency (18.8% K rate), so Ohtani should be able to put the ball into play and make some noise.

Tyler Glasnow returned to the rotation on the 9th this month and threw five innings of two-hit baseball vs. the Brewers, whom he will see again tonight — this time on his home mound. He threw 85 pitches in that game and might be able to get deeper in his second start since missing two months due to shoulder inflammation. He looked great before the break, and the extra rest is nothing but good for him. He could get up to 90 pitches today and hopefully shook off the rust of his command as his three walks drove up his pitch count in his return. THE BAT is projecting 17.13 outs for the stud starter, who is one of the better arms in baseball when he is healthy.

Milwaukee's offense caught on fire before the break, leading the majors in BA (.285) while averaging 6.28 runs per game over the last 30 days. Meanwhile, the Dodgers lead the majors in OPS at home (.832) and they plate a run in the first inning in 40% of their contests in L.A. Brewers starter Quinn Priester has struggled in the opening frame, pitching to a 4.38 ERA with an OBA of .306. The brisk 10 mph wind blowing towards the outfield, gives me even more faith in these offenses tonight.
