The Rangers are just 28th in the majors in OPS (.660) and tonight they'll be on the road at pitcher-friendly PETCO Park. Texas is starting Patrick Corbin who is mediocre but tends to get off to good starts. The southpaw has a 1.20 ERA with an OBA of .140 in the first inning. Meanwhile, the Padres have an OPS of just .652 against lefties and they've gone ice-cold at the dish. They are batting .214 while plating 3.17 runs per game over the last 15 days.

Seager is tearing the cover off the ball, and there’s plenty of reason to believe that will continue against the San Diego Padres. For one, Seager is hitting .333 with a .417 ISO against cutters, sliders, and four-seam fastballs over the last month. Those are the pitches Kolek predominantly throws, setting up Seager to have success. Kolek is also getting ripped apart by left-handed bats like Seager. He has allowed a .290 average and 60.47% hard hit rate vs. lefties over the past month. Those are unbelievably bad numbers and far worse than what he’s managed against righties. Look for Seager, who has barreled up on at least one ball in seven straight games, to do some damage in this one.
