The Milwaukee Brewers lineup has taken a significant step back, creating a favorable position for the Philadelphia Phillies in this matchup. The Brewers rank in the Bottom 8 of the league in hits per game, batting average, slugging percentage, and OPS. Meanwhile, the Phillies rank in the Top 7 in each of those four categories.

Christian Yelich has clubbed 10 home runs, with five long balls in May alone, and he’s gone deep three times in the last six games. The Milwaukee Brewers outfielder has also had success against Philadelphia Phillies starter Taijuan Walker. He’s 4-for-8 lifetime with a home run and three RBI. Yelich is hitting .364 over the last week and has a lot of confidence at the moment. He could smack No. 11 tonight.

Taijuan Walker has been more of a flyball pitcher this season, which is a welcomed sight for a Brewers team with the second-highest ground ball rate in the sport. More importantly, though, the combo of Walker having a whiff rate in the Bottom 10th percentile and the Brewers having the second-lowest whiff rate in baseball over the last month means tons of balls will be in play. My projection for Walker's strikeouts was 2.8, partly aided by his low expected pitch count as the Phillies look to continue building his confidence. I'd play this to -140 with that in mind.
