Javier Baez is undoubtedly one of the best stories in the big leagues. After falling off a cliff over his first few years with the Tigers, he’s back in business in 2025. The veteran is hitting .319 with five home runs, and he just went deep twice in Tuesday’s win over the Boston Red Sox. Both were three-run bombs, with one coming in the bottom of the 11th to win the game. The former first-round pick has all five of his homers in the last 10 games. He’s really heating up, and Tuesday’s performance is only going to fuel him more.

Skubal has only allowed 37 hits, cashing the Under on his 'hits allowed' line in five of his last six outings — giving up only two knocks last time out against the Rangers and four before that to the Angels.

Twenty-five points aren't a lot to pay for this total, which is past the key number of 17.5. Tarik Skubal projects for 17.5 outs but coming out for the seventh inning is a tough ask vs. this Boston offense. Skubal is an elite pitcher, but he is also not a starter who throws 95+ pitches every five days. He is coming off a season-high 96 pitches and is 6-2 to the Under on this total this season. It’s actually a good spot to add Under 4.5 hits for +218 as the books think the two props are negatively correlated.
